Was a great guy that did the right job

I had used Mike on a previous project and was very happy. On my last project, I needed a light switch changed. (Which he did) and a circuit breaker changed. On the breaker, he did not get the correct one and said he would order it and get back to me to install it. That was February 7th. I have called him repeatedly, texted him and emailed him many times as well. He responded to an email 3 weeks ago that he ordered it. No reply to calls, texts or emails since. Very disappointing. So if you are considering Building Dreams for work at your property make sure to do your due diligence.

Mike was prompt and thorough and completed the project to our satisfaction.

Mike and Dave do superb work. The problem was water pipes susceptible to icing because they are in an overhanging part of the kitchen. This had stymied another contractor last winter, Mike came up with an artful and effective solution. He and Dave replaced the old pipes with Pex, then wrapped the pipes in protective coverings and installed fresh insulation. And they worked carefully to preserve the aesthetics of the red cedar siding. Beautiful work.

"Quality" / "Workmanship" / "Good Guy" / "Friend" All describe Mike and how he handled our project at our dream vacation home. The project entailed a complete gut job and rebuild inside an approximately 1500+ sqft cabin. From electric, drywall, framing, building a railing, installing kitchen cabinets, adding a Tongue and Groove board to the ceiling and more. This was a big job and attacked it with professionalism. The only real issue we ran into was timing and not being finished as fast as we had anticipated. Because it was a complete house remodel and rebuild it was originally to be done in 3 months however it took around 5 months until the project was done to have people in the house. There were a lot of components to the project and I hired additional contractors for specific jobs to help speed things up and during that process Mike helped out and acted as my GC and what Mike was in charge of/contractor for was done right without any issues. I had some issues with some of the other contractors I hired but not with Mike. He was always in communication via text, phone or email which I appreciated. Provided photos as status updates or just called to say where we were at. He helped out where he could and offered some additional services at no charge which I really appreciated because of how large the project was and the amount of overages that were happening at the house. I would absolutely hire Mike again and would recommend him to handle your project.

I contacted this company for a plumbing problem. In the end, the issue was one which called for the drainage pipe to be opened up. Not only did Bldg Dreams not charge for the service call, and analyzing the problem, but they made the contact with the other company and then called me back to be sure the problem had been solved. I was extremely impressed with their promptness in returning my initial call and the expediency in which they showed up at my door the following morning. They even phoned to say they were running a few minutes behind schedule!! Can't say enough about their professionalist and expert advice. Based on this experience, I would highly recommend Building Dreams.

Mike and Billy did a great job working with somewhat unusual components and job requirements. There are a few loose ends which were somewhat outside the original scope of the project that I will be contacting them to address, but overall the quality of the work done was very good. We are very satisfied.

The workers were so professional and so quiet that we didn't even realize they were there working. Absolutely would hire again.

Mike was on time, friendly and reasonable. He was able to show up the day I called and took care of another repair I needed that I hadn't remembered to mention in the original call.

Mike was very professional. He returned calls promptly and showed up when he said he would. We hired him to reconstruct our plumbing under the kitchen sink after we had a new banjo sink installed. He did an excellent job! We also hired him to install a ceiling fan. It was a master bedroom with a high ceiling and a long drop down pole and remote control. This was a bit out of my capability to handle. Mike came in and put it up with no problem! We also wanted a back splash installed in our kitchen and Mike steered us to Billy Johnson who did an excellent job!

Michael was friendly and to the point. Finished the job quickly, explained everything I needed to know. I will hire him again for another project coming up.
