We've had Cornell work on a few projects for us. For one project, he came out last minute to help us draw up structural plans due to the fact that a (bad) contractor we were working with knocked out walls without consulting us! We were so grateful for his attention to detail and willingness to help us out during a very stressful time. Another project that he supported us with was advising my husband on the structural integrity of the space beneath our stairs, so that we could build a little reading nook under it. We'll also be working with Cornell for our upcoming extensive remodel as we add on to our house. Highly recommend his work!

A young engineer inspected the house I bought before I bought it. He was very thorough during the inspection and writing the report. But it took a while for him to give me the report.

Cornell Burt s the most knowledgeable PE I have worked ever worked with. He visited my house for one structural beam calculation and looked over whole house. Then he drew a sketch of where every load was supported. I was so impressed that hired him for my nest project!

I hired Burt Engineering to look at a wall I wanted to remove. I was provided with a written report, including diagrams, that my contractor can use when removing the wall. I would definitely hire this firm again.

Cornell Burt is very detailed in his work. I appreciate his candor and willingness to work with us on a design that fits our needs. Cornell came over and was very professional and went over everything. I liked that he helped us understand why certain options are better than others. He also provided us with the proper paperwork for a permit within 2 days.

Cornell and his associate, Michael, quickly responded to my inquiry and was able to schedule the inspection and final report within the time frame which I was under restraint. Cornell assised afterwards with recommendations and ideas of how to proceed to correct the foundation problem.

Having Burt Engineering, PLLC submit plans for my mobile home to L&I for plan review was the best choice i made. I greatly appreciate the time they took to come to my mobile home and and draw up a quick sketch who then sunmitted proffesional plans answering all the questions L&I had in regards to my home. We are very pleased with Cornell's expediancy in helping us. He came out right away and drew up our plans etc and helped us whenever we had a question. Definitely would recommend him if you want solid plans and a helping hand when needed. We specifically hired him because we were wanting to take out load bearing walls, replace support beams to make everything nice and open and a flush ceiling(our current beams hang down). twice we have used Cornell and happy each time.
