"1. Client took 12 days from completion and payment of work to report anything wrong. 2. Original price quoted was based on a few photographs sent by Client. Those pictures did not reflect the entirety of the job., nor how much painting and drywall repair was actually required. Client was told price may change based on us not actually inspecting the work required in person. Actual quote would have been $1500, I offered and they accepted $1000 and paid it. 3. Client made us clean the work area to his satisfaction before payment was made. The entire floor was mopped. He watched and pointed out multiple tiny spots on the wood wall that were cleaned until he was satisfied, and the cabinets, countertops, refrigerator etc. We spent at least an extra hour cleaning while he was there inspecting everything. 4. None of the alleged paint/ joint compound damage requires any specialized cleaning. They are both water based and easily cleanable. Claiming any kind of damage is a flat out lie and defamatory. 5. Client refused us the opportunity to inspect his alleged damage, which violates the Texas Property Code. No one refuses an inspection unless they are hiding something, in this case the Clients fraud. 6. Client refused us the opportunity to clean everything again at our time and cost. 7. The ceiling paint is not defective in any way. It simply needed a second coat, which we offered to do as well at our time and cost. Eggshell is a completely acceptable paint for ceilings, so it is not the wrong paint. Behr paint from Home Depot was used, so claiming poor cheap materials is again a flat out lie and defamatory. 8. Texas has laws protecting the construction trade from clients with fraudulent and frivolous claims such as this Client. Client has violated numerous provisions of the Texas Property Code. Texas law has now barred Client from receiving any damages because he had work completed without allowing us inspection or opportunity to remedy."
