CAMCO Builders was formed in 1987 and incorporated in 1994. Involved in residential and commercial construction, CAMCO Builders, Inc. has completed many residential structures, as well as commercial projects such as an addition to Community Bible Church in High Point, and a new Community Center for the City of High Point at Washington Terrace Park. Residential projects include Pointer Place and Huttons Lake, off Skeet Club Road in High Point, and homes in existing phases of Salisbury Crossing in Kernersville, as well as spot and custom-built lots in Guilford, Randolph and Forsyth Counties. Other residential construction includes new homes in, Indigo Pointe, Tuxedo Park and The Woodlands at Salisbury Crossing. CAMCO Builders has participated in the High Point Parade of Homes, receiving Bronze and Gold awards. C.A. Joe Miller, President and Chief Operating Officer, holds a degree in Civil Engineering and has over 35 years of construction experience in residential, commercial and utility construction. He served 6 years as Chief Building Inspector for the City of High Point and qualifies for highest available certification by the State of North Carolina as a Building Inspector. He is a former member of the North Carolina Council of Code Officials and the North Carolina Inspectors Association. He has also been the recipient of the prestigious Builder of the Year award for the High Point Area Builders Association. Currently a member of the National Home Builders Association and the High Point Area Home Builders Association, Joe served as President in 1999 and a Board Member for six years. He is a former member of the Joint Governmental Affairs Committee of the High Point Builder and Real Estate Associations and the Executive Board of the Triad Real Estate and Building Industry Coalition. Currently Joe is a member of the Advisory Board of Directors of First Bank of High Point and serves on the North Carolina Homebuilders Association Building Codes committee and legislative committee. Community involvement includes High Point Girls Athletic Association as a past board member and a team sponsor, involvement with Youth Unlimited Boys Homes, Habitat For Humanity, Open Door shelter - High Point and an active church member, singing in the choir and a leader in the small group ministry.
