I hired this company from Home advisor-Angiâ s List. The man named â Codyâ , came to our home, we decided to hire him to do our new patio-deck and window transition to a door, what a bad and expensive choice I made. The entire project had to be completely redone by a â certifiedâ contractor, who was fully licensed, bonded and incurred. It was supposed to take a few days to do the entire work, instead it took 3 weeks and was not finished at all. I paid a lot of money to this contracting company, and found out at the time I hired them, they would NOT give me a business license, NO Proposal or CONTRACT no insurance certificate. I had to have a General Contractor come to my property, who has been doing this type of work for over 40 years. Once my General Contractor came, he showed â Codyâ that the shingled roof was simply not done to roofing code nor specs. All of the joist were NOT cute on any angles, and they used joist hangers, with the wrong nails, screws and was definitely NOT up to our countyâ s code or Land and use. â Codyâ , represented himself as C&C remodeling, however after contacting Home advisor-Angiâ s List to inquire and to allow them to know how dissatisfied I was, they then told me the name on their system, did NOT match, instead it was a older company that â Codyâ had which was R&R contractors. Owner â Codyâ , which is I believe his nickname, advised that he was starting a new company from Legal Zoom.com called C&C remodeling, which explains whay, he did not have a business licensing with our state or county, because he had changed the name of the company. The hand printed receipts DID not matched the true address, contact numbers that was given to us. There were absolutely NO workmanship and or materials warranty and or guaranteesâ whatsoever. The amount of money we gave up-front was for materials, and most of the materials, went home with him on his trailer, a lot of materials that was supposed to be used on my patio-deck. The owner, â Codyâ is only 24 to 25 years old, and certainly dose not have much experience in building or professionalism. Not even a business card, but I bet he has them now. After my General Contractor came on site with the owner of so called â C&C Remodeling, he noticed the roof, and (T-111) tongue and grove outside pressure treated wood was laid horizontally and not vertically and did not match lining up the pieces evenly. The flooring was laid upside down (labeled this side down) was laid â UPâ and NOT â downâ by specifications. 2-days after he was fired from my project, we had a huge storm and the shingled roof blew off, due to virtually NO nails being placed on them and they were â stick and peelâ . I had to spend more than I estimated, to finish what I would have paid C&C Remodeling â Codyâ , to correct all of the mistakes that were mad on my project. A lot of money spent with C&C for absolutely nothing. Buyerâ s remorse I what Iâ m currently suffering from. Donâ t be fooled by other review, because the people whom are writing them are his family members, because they were on my project and I recognize their names. Hire someone whoâ s got references and 3 proposals, and have a CONTRACTâ but, please do your homework and verify anything and everything this company says. Donâ t be fooled like I was as a consumer you have to really ask and verify everything. I would never recommend this company.
