I hired CJ to do my chimney because it was rotting. He came the next day and gave me an estimate. He came April 25th or 26th. He said he would get started on my chimney the last week of May. He did not. He got sick that week. So he was going to come when he felt better. I was out of town from the 28th of May - June 19th, but my adult son and daughter would be home the whole time. I came back from my trip and still no chimney. He said it was because it was raining, so I would text him because his mailbox was not set, and he would say he couldn't come because it was going to rain. (I was afraid I was going to get water damage because my chimney was in bad shape.) So I would wait till it was going to be sunny. Then he would say he couldn't come because he was working on a fence, then a deck, then another fence, then he was alone. Every excuse you can imagine. I thought it was weird he couldn't come fix my chimney the day before because it was drizzling, but the next day when I'd call he would be busy doing an outside project for someone else. Finally he came on June 24th. It turns out I have termites. He was here about 1.5 hours. He told my daughter he couldn't do the work until we got rid of the problem. (I totally understand.) He left all the supplies outside. He left a big piece of panel board sitting in the middle of the yard. My daughter asked him if he was going to leave it there and he said yes, he'd be back. This panel board was going to be the board that would be outside the chimney. I called a pest control company and we had the problem fixed on June 26th. Two days later I called CJ and told him it was advised by pest control for him to come in a week to continue because the colony of termites would be dead and he said okay. I kept calling and leaving texts. He responds better by texts. Every excuse, he's working on feces, decks, by himself, you name it. I called CJ again, all day no response. He said he forgot his phone. He said he was planning on coming over the following Tuesday, mind you by now, he'd been telling me I'll see if I can do it Monday. Monday no call, no show. Tuesday, no call no show. I'd text him and that's when he'd say, I'm working on a fence. I'll see if I can do it next Tuesday. Tuesday, no call no show, I"m working on a deck, I should be able to do it Sunday, Sunday comes, no call no show, I'm working on another fence. So when he told me Tuesday because he was working on his own on a fence, I didn't believe it any more. I told him I was calling someone else. He was like, "Ok." I told him, it's going to be a week before they can do the work. Since you have $500 that I gave you, I'm giving you the opportunity to fix it. I'm frustrated. It's raining and I'm afraid of water damage. I also told my husband to text him. At this point I was frustrated. He told my husband, "It's better for us to part ways." So another company came and fixed my chimney all within 1 weeks time. I told CJ I was getting ready to write a review
