I Had a great experience with this company. I am new to DC so I did not really know where to turn when my roof started leaking. I saw a commercial for HomeAdvisor so I gave it a shot, they sent three contractors to give me an estimate. Charlie from WJ was the first one to show up, and I was impressed with his willingness to answer all my questions and show me pictures of the problem area. He also took the time to explain what he would do to fix the leak and put it all in writing for me. The second company (I will not name them for fairness sake) was far less impressive. They did not even go on the roof and just said I needed a new roof, they ended up sending me a quote for that. The third company gave the roof inspection and showed me pictures, but I just was not comfortable with their salesman and his price was far too high. So I went with WJ. The process was easy, Charlie sent me the contract through email and I chose to pay with a credit card so he sent me a secure online invoice for the deposit. (Since no matter how trustworthy someone sounds, I do not like giving my credit card information over the phone.) He then showed up with his crew on time and had all the repairs done in a few hours. I would definitely use him again, and will hopefully get a couple more years out of this roof before I use WJ for a full replacement. Thanks, Charlie.

Prompt, courteous and professional

FIND SOMEONE ELSE. One of the owners, Charles, showed up for an estimate on our roof repair and told me it would take about a day to complete the work. This company had a significantly higher quote than two other contractors, because Charles expressed how long the repair would take. Three quotes were, $2100, $1300, and $800. Based on the rating and what we believed was honesty about taking a day to complete the work, we went with WJ. On Friday I received a call from Charles saying he would call me on Monday to schedule the work. Monday came and he asked if he could come at noon that day to begin work on the project. I was surprised, but assumed they would have to work late to get the job finished. In the end, they showed up at 4:15 and finished by 5:30, much to my surprise. During this hour plus work, one guy was at the store for most of it, while the second guy hung out on the roof. While the company was there for a little over an hour, there may have been 30-45 minutes of actual work. In the end, I questioned the cost of a job that took slightly over an hour. Charles started to go on lying about paying his two roofers $250 each an hour each, like suddenly we re paying roofers $500k per year. After some smirking from Charles and dancing around why his company and guarantee were worth $2100 for 1.5 hours of work, I just couldn t listen to his lying anymore. It s terrible to have to pay a company that you know takes advantage and lies to get work. There are plenty of roofers in the DC area. WJ should not be on your list of honest and dependable contractors. I was hoping to find a contractor that I could trust in the future if/when another roof issue happens. Unfortunately, WJ will not see business from our home again. FIND SOMEONE ELSE.

Charlie was prompt in responding to all queries from me. Offered a competitive bid for the project and completed the work efficiently, I would happily use him again,

Needed an emergency roof repair on our condo building that was causing water leaks into an upper unit and Charles was able to come out within several hours and was able to do the work immediately. He found more of the roof that needed to be repaired, so gave me an estimate for the full scope of work and said to call when the condo decided to fix the rest! Super easy to talk to and he was very knowledgeable.

Fixed my leaky roof

They came out and inspected my situation, showed me pictures of the problem area, gave me a couple options and price points on how to deal with it, and then fixed the problem while taking pictures to show me the finished product. Very satisfied with my interaction with this contractor.

Opted for the fibered aluminum roof paint versus a new roof.

Replaced several slates for me, and showed me pictures of parts of the roof I canâ t see from the ground. I thought I had 5 slates missing, but ends up there was another 10 I couldnâ t see. Very appreciative of the thorough inspection before they quoted me a price.

Prompt response, free estimate the next day, always on time, scheduled the work for within 36 hours of agreeing to scope of work and the cost.

The contractor was very friendly and they responded quickly. They showed me pictures before and after the repair. One never know about roof work until after it rains or the repairs last through winter.

Prompt, professional, and in the ballpark for pricing. I went with this company based on the positive reviews on HomeAdvisor and other websites. I would use them again, but I hope I do not have to.

Other companies had failed, but we had our neighbors tell us that this company stopped their stubborn leak so we gave them a shot.
