Arrived early, did the work as requested to satisfaction and cleaned up work area. No issues. Would hire them again

I hired this company to repair a basement wall that was cracked and bowed. I got many estimates on the work and many opinions on how to repair it. I went with CLI because they expressed that the work was pretty routine for them and their estimate was reasonable. I trusted them to do a good job. We did not live in the house while the work was being done and there was no one to keep an eye out for anything out of the ordinary, While they were in my walkout basement, they were looking at things stored in places they had no business being in and then made comments to me about the cool stuff they looked at. I subsequently put a lock on the door to that storage area. The workers also used a canoe that was in the yard for a joy ride down a hill on our property, and left the canoe where it landed, so they were disrespectful while in our house. I was charged $2000 more for the work than the estimate quote. I have since had a structural engineer take a look at the basement and he said that while the work was adequate, it certainly was not state of the art and not done as it should have been, as they used wooden shims instead of concrete to support the I beams that they installed. They did not fill any cracks in the wall and the yard was a mess. The city did not close out the permit due to the way the yard was left. The engineer, does not work for any company that does this kind of work, but is well aware of the rates for repair and estimated that I was overcharged thousands of dollars more than the standard rate. In short, do your homework and know exactly what is going to be done. If you are doing any work to the foundation, it is worth it to have a structural engineer recommend how to address it. The city suggested an engineer, but the company said it wasn't needed. The drainage issue was not addressed by their repair. It is my fault for trusting them in the first place. I feel that they overcharged and underperformed at a time when we were in a somewhat vulnerable situation. I also paid them in full so there was no incentive for them to come back to grade and repair the yard that was torn up, Being an older woman making these decisions leaves a lot of room to be manipulated. Just saying.... I have learned to be very skeptical from this experience. I should have studied the different ways to handle the problem and made a better choice.

They seem to have jobs done well It was two steps but after the leveling was done they asked me to pay in full When the filling the cracks were not even started I paid 1/2 then paid the rest when the job was finished It was rather strange experience.

I previously called another company that never showed up. CLI came out and did a great job. Very satisfied.

These guys were great. They were able to lift my driveway slab 4 inches. It broke a little on one of the corners, but just a tiny piece. They were on time, professional, and cleaned up after themselves. Highly recommended.

The crew did a good job on the concrete leveling and a good price. All other quotes were at least double. They work well with scheduling. They clean up and cover up holes fairly well and give good advice on how to seal from future water damage.
