Concrete Driveways & Floors - Install
After two weeks of waiting for my driveway to be prepped for the concrete pour, charged for an imaginary permit, faults of the project and asking for more money, I terminated this contractor. It's crew of one to two men grudgingly used hand shovels to prep the driveway. The company that came and bailed me out took only two days, used a real tractor to dig the driveway, and never asked for any payment until completion of the job. I am fighting to get some of my $1000 down payment back. I could not trust that I would get a quality concrete pour; as this company was very dishonest along the way. Beware of 5 yr warranty promises on concrete!

"The customer refused to allow us to pour the pad when the weather was good and complained when the weather turned bad over the course of the following 10 days when we couldn't pour. She continued to get neighborly advise on all aspects of the work in progress, one neighbor stating that the work should have taken only a day. Another, that the French Drain was not necessary, when they live in a flood plain.Others that said a five year warranty was not possible? Finally, I think she figured out how to save money by getting rid of us and having another company do it for less since 90% of the preparation and 100% of the form work was done."

I had 3 skylights replaced, because of condensation. CMC installed new skylights and after coming out 2 x a week for the last 3 weeks they are still dripping. Last week I finally gave them the check after they came again and tried to fix the problem. Unfortunately 2 days later the same problem all over again. I contacted "Tom" on Tues. and he promised they would be back Wed. morning, today is Friday and I have not even received a phone call. I sure would not recommend them to any of my friends.

"The skylights are not leaking. We agreed to return one more time and at our expense trim the interior cavities of each skylight to attempt to correct the problem. Unfortunately my neighbors son passed away unexpectedly and We found ourselves involved with family affairs over the past week and a half. The services were held yesterday and now that's over. That may not be an acceptable reason for not returning in a timely fashion it is just what happened. Well, We've since returned. We installed Interior wood Trim to reduce heat loss & It fixed the problem. Rose Marie had us bid another job for her and awarded it to us."

The job was a small one but they came in on budget and time. The repair hasn't been tested since the weather has been fantastic but I am confident that we have solved the icy stair problem.
