CNY Landscapes and Hardscape

We hired this company to level an area of our backyard so we could safely place a playset for our children in our yard. Jeff charged us $4,600 for the project. After Jeff completed the project, the ground was still unlevel and unfit for a playset. In addition to that, Jeff laid down mulch and pebble stone to create the illusion that the foundation was level. Now, the mulch and pebble stone creates a mess in the yard since it is on a slope and not at all on flat land. We contacted Jeff after the project was completed to express our dissatisfaction. Jeff explained that he was out of town at his daughters wedding but would contact us the following week to identify a solution. Since then, Jeff has not returned calls or texts and has not come back to our home to do the work we had hired him to do. Jeffs work is not quality. He cuts corners and charges outrageous prices. He is not responsive. Id never recommend hiring this company / Jeff to anyone.

I hired this company through Home Advisor and read the two reviews. I did not see that they were written two years ago. Jeff Porter gave me an estimate of 6,000 dollars. and I wrote him out a check for half that amount. The time scale was around two weeks to start the project. After five weeks and not hearing from him I called. Within a week he had dirt delivered and began spreading it. He continually started complaining about the way the stumps were ground and how he had to use more dirt and it would cost me more money.I told him I was not giving him any more money for this project. He completely forgot about landscaping one area and again said he would need more money. During this whole process he never would call or show up when he said he would. I had no idea when or if he would finish the project. After two months he did complete the landscaping satisfactory but refused to give me any time to access his work.I have no idea if he had the 30 tons of dirt delivered. I just had to trust him. This experience was not good. I felt he just wanted to get as much money out of me as he could without caring about satisfying his customer.

We had a great experience with CNY Landscapes and Hardscape. We would definitely recommend him and use them again! Very accommodating, easy to work with and timely.

He has done multiple jobs for me. I have recommended him. We own a lake house that he completed a very large project for us on.
