Cabrera's Construction

***BUYER BEWARE*** I had a horrible experience hiring Ronell Cabrera with Cabreras Construction Company from Rogers, Arkansas. From my experience, my opinion is that Ronell Cabrera is not honest. He is not trustworthy He is not reliable. He is not dependable. Hiring Ronell Cabrera cost me thousands of dollars in mistakes made by his crew and wasted building materials. Cabrera only came to the jobsite after everyone was gone or when he wanted money. Job is now sitting idle while structural engineer does an evaluation and provides a protocol for repair work. Cabrera wrote a check for over $4,500 to the framer then stopped payment before the framer could get to the bank and cash the check. I was put in a jam and paid the framer directly so the framer could pay his crew and bills. Cabrera was billing in advance and demanding money before all work was completed for the next progress payment. As things advance, more work was getting left unfinished while Cabrera demanded more money. In the end, Cabrera refused to finish the work. I cannot and never will recommend Ronnel Cabrera with Cabreras Construction Company. Framer bid the job. Cabrera talked me into making changes with lumber, so drawings had to be completely redone and submitted to the building department, Extra work was involved so price went up for me, but Cabrera was trying to keep the money to himself and not pass it on to the framer. Cabrera was talking bad about the framer behind his back, the very guy who works for him to frame my home. My opinion, Cabrera is a very shady businessman. I have filed the complaint with the Arkansas Contractors Licensing Board.
