Hired them to give me an estimate to install a cooktop that I purchased. They came onsite and agreed to a price. Once they started the work, the cooktop was slightly smaller than the cut on my counter. I was hoping for a chance to do a quick exchange which would've taken an extra day. I agree, the part was smaller and my fault. But I really wish the business process was a bit friendlier. I lost $117 bucks and got nothing done. Now have to hire another professional for round 2. Left a message hoping to work something out but no call back. So much for a free estimate. Oh and another thing. The installer left the blade of a box cutter laying around after they left and my 3 year old cut her finger. I also would have appreciated a receipt for the work. It didn't seem like appliances was their specialty when they accepted this bid. 1 hour onsite to find out something didn't fit. I would hire them for janitorial needs but stay away from appliance related installs. I still have no idea how HomeAdvisor even gave them this bid.
