I am very pleased with my repair. I had to remove a 4' x 5' section of drywall in my laundry room due to owner-induced water damage (don't ask). The MDF baseboard was also damaged. Only two of the 4 contractors I contacted responded in a reasonable time, and they were the only 2 to come out to see the project before quoting. The 2 finalists both had top ratings and reviews, but I choose Cal Home Improvements because his bid was over $200 less than the other. I obtained the proper baseboard, and reinstalling it was part of the repair. I will be doing the repainting once the mud and texture has thoroughly dried. Total on-site time was about 4 hours. Doug is a real pro.

We had Cal Home Improvements do a drywall project/bathroom remodel. We had them redo previous contractors poor work. They did a fantastic job. We had a tricky texturing bend with existing walls and it came out perfect. Can't even tell where old wall starts and new one begins. I will use them on next project.

Douglas did a great job repairing stress cracks and texturing our kitchen walls. His price was fair, he showed up when he said he would and cleaned up when done. I would definitely hire him again.

Douglas and his assistants were professional, courteous and efficient workers. They were tidy and respectful. We hired Douglas to replace the insulation and drywall in our garage as well as finish out an upstairs bathroom and hallway where we had water damage. Douglas was responsive despite his busy schedule and requests from other jobs. If you ever had a great babysitter or special fishing hole or secret campsite but didn't ever want to share it with anybody - Douglas and CAL Home Improvements is like that. You want to hoard him. Unfortunately I don't have the place or the resources to keep him busy - but if I did, I would! Highly recommended.

Amazing detail work. Fair price. Did a little bit of everything.

We hired Douglas to remove a false drop in our kitchen ceiling, replace it with drywall, prep and paint. It also involved moving can lights. Douglas was very responsive we Contacted him and came out within a few days to review the job, then provided a written estimate within a few days. He was able to Schedule the job the following week. He was on time both days and very respectful of our home and did a fantastic job. He cleaned up after each day. Definitely will recommend him to friends and clients!
