I had my pool completely redone. The workers did an amazing job. The problem I had was that management would not set up a time for the workers to arrive at my house. They would just randomly show up. Their work was amazing, but I, as most customers do, would like to have a day and a time when a worker is scheduled to begin work. It took over 2 weeks to do a one-week job. The experience I had with my salesperson was by far the worst that I have ever had. Said he would call me back with dates and times, and never, not even once. I finally had to get the owner involved. That helped some. No one ever came out to my house to go over anything with me. Not even with the job was completed. I am happy with the work and the crew that did it, but extremely disappointed with the sales team and management.

They came each day early in the morning until the project was finished and they finished several days ahead of schedule and a little under budget as we got a few upgrades that were comped. They also cleaned up each day. All in all they were very patient with the changes we made along the way and we are very happy with the outcome.

California Pools replastered our swimming pooland also poured new decking and concrete pad in our back and side yard and did an outstanding job. Promised were kept and the supervision on both jobs were very knowledgable, helpfull, and efficient. I would recommend these guys to anyone.

Purchased pool heater. Installer showed up alone and couldn't remove old heater by himself. He requested my help, but it was too heavy. Fortunately another serviceman happened to be there. I paid him to help the heater installer. The whole time the installer was griping about the company and how â they always send me out alone . . .â

"My name is Richard O'Reilly. I am the salesperson employed by California Pool Service responsible for the sale of the heater in the previous review by Steve B. in Anaheim. First and foremost on behalf of California Pool Service I extend a sincere apology for the lack of etiquette held by our installer. There are zero excuses for any behavior less than professional, just as there is zero recourse other than words as I reach out to correct this wrong. Oh sure I can offer a discount on Steve B's next purchase or if we serviced his pool , i could offer a free month or two of service but the truth is Steve B. will probably never purchase or recommend anyone else to purchase or for that matter use any of our services for anything. Am I not right? And that my friends is the power one man, our installer of one pool heater holds, all in the words and actions he portrays in his interaction with an otherwise satisfied customer. Was our installer having a bad day? Or for that matter was Steve B. having a bad day? It really shouldn't matter. We were there to provide a service, which we did, as the heater is installed and in full operation. And yet in the bigger, broader picture it would have been better for us to have never sold this heater than to sale it and then have an installer with a bad attitude represent us. All I can say to anyone who may read this review is that I Richard O'Reilly, the salesperson of this heater to Steve B. of Anaheim is "good help is hard to find" and we are currently taking applications for qualified swimming pool technicians That and of course a public apology for this less than professional installer who has assuredly felt the impact of his actions in his personal life as we here at California Pool Service who value our reputation go forward giving our all to provide a quality service......with a good attitude.......despite this review."

Resurfaced pool, new tile, coping, added line for pool cleaner and moved light box to a better location. Pool looks good. We are happy with pool. Scheduled work changes and communication could have been better, time is important to everyone.

Paul and his crew were easy to communicate with and always available when questions came up. The work progressed on time and they always left the worksite clean. On completion, we are very satisfied with the job. The pool is beautiful. We recommend this company and Paul to anyone.

We used california pool to resurface our pool. Their price was reasonable and they are very fast and responsive. They are able to identify problems during the repair and fix them for a reasonable price. Our pool looks excellent. We also did some landscaping thru them since we have to pour new concrete pads arouns the pool. They also provide servicing afterward!

California Pools Service did an awesome job on replastering and replacing the tile in my 30 year old pool. They started on promise date and completed on schedule. We were out of town while most of the work was being done and they provided us with pictures every step of the way. I highly recommend California Pool service. Thank you Paul!

Promised the work on the pool would be completed by the end of June. Work was not done in a timely manner. I was promised a three foot spacing on the "starred" tile. Did not happen. Crew filled the trash container which is reserved for grass clipping, etc. almost to the half-way point with water and left the container in front of my garage door. I have a handicap and cannot move it. After removing the plaster from the pool, some of the plaster was dumped in the hedge in my front yard. The covering for the switches inside the main electrical box was not replaced. I wanted hand rails installed. I was told they would be installed either Monday(July 18) or Tuesday (July 19). Today is Saturday (July 22) and they have still not been installed nor have I been contacted by the company to let me know there would be a delay in the installation. I have made two payments of $3,875.00 each. I still owe $1000.00 and no one has attempted to collect or contacted me.

Hired to remove the 30 year old diving board, replacing with a new one I purchased so needed the cement cut and re-poured. Also removed/replaced Deco seal (between pool edge tile and cement) Joey was the tech... very friendly and knowledgeable and dog-friendly. He did a great job on both items.

I PAID FOR A ACID WASH AND GOT HALF A JOB, I ALSO PAID FOR A TILE CLEANING AND NOT DONE. I PAID FOR 6 MONTHS WORTH OF WEEKLY SERVICE AND THEY MISSED DAYS AND ALSO ONLY ONLY PUT IN CHEMICALS MOST TIMES AND ONLY 4 TIMES DID THEY VACUUM THE POOL IN THOSE 6 MONTHS AND ONLY BRUSHED IT 4 TIMES IN THAT SAME TIME. I HAVE SECURITY CAMERAS THAT CLEARLY SHOW THEM NOT DOING ANYTHING I PAID. I HAD TO CALL AND EMAIL ALL THE TIME TO SAY THEY MISSED OR THERE WAS SOMETHING GROWING IN MY POOL. I HAVE MANY PICTURES, EMAILS AND TELEPHONE RECORDS TO SHOW I CONTACTED WITH MANY TIMES NO IMMEDIATE RESPONSE. I ASKED THE OWNER TO COME SEE THE POOL TO SEE HOW BAD THE ACID WASH WAS AFTER THEY WERE DONE BUT HE NEVER SHOWED UP AND SAID SEND HIM PICTURES, I DI AND NOTHING AS WELL I HAD TO SEND PICTURES WHEN THE POOL WAS GROWING SOMETHING AS THEY WOULD NOT SHOW UP TO SEE IN PERSON. I HAD A NEW POOL PERSON SHOW UP ON A DIFFERENT DAY OF THE WEEK WHEN THEY DID SHOW UP AND I ASKED ONE OF THE WHY IS THERE A DIFFERENT POOL PERSON EVERY WEEK AND HE STATED THE ORIGINAL GUY WAS IN REHAB AND HE STATED HE IS NOT A POOL CLEANER HE IS A PERSON THAT FIXED THE PUMPS. ALSO, THEIR ACCOUNTING IS VERY BAD AS THEY DOUBLE BILL AND SAY THEY NEVER RECEIVE PAYMENT AND YOU HAVE TO PROVIDE CANCELLED CHECKS TO SHOW IT WAS WAS AND THEN THEY NEVER SAY THEY ARE SORRY BUT JUST KEEP MAKING THE MISTAKES. THE OWNER OR MANAGER NEVER SHOWED UP TO SEE THE POOL AND GIVE QUOTES LIKE HE STATES. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND USING THIS SERVICE UNLESS YOU LIKE TROUBLE. I

Very poor interaction between sub-contractors and the company owner. Besides he didn't return calls from us. His mail-box was always full.
