Be sure to ask how many crew members are being sent to do the job. One guy cannot get a double vanity and counter top up a flight of stairs. Had to reschedule the job. It was completed to our satisfaction in the end.

California Remodeling Service also known as: CA. Remodel Service not sure how many companies at this point? - Please Do Not Hire this company or even accept a total b.s. Bid! I searched Yelp a few times to be sure that the business name & address matched, my business card states CA. Remodel Service 120 Spring St, Pleasanton not Main Street Pleasanton. My 2 Contracts Yes 2 Contracts both state: California Remodeling Service, Contractors License # 711102, 120 Spring Street, Pleasanton, CA 94566. The Manager I worked with on the b.s bid & contracts paperwork is: Romo Roman. I have never seen or heard of the Contractor Owner which is already suspicious & I should have listened to my b.s meter which was going off Big Time! I signed 1 Contract to finance the Hard-Scaping Project work through Ygrene which is also listed on the Business Card. I am a Ygrene Champion so I made the mistake of "assuming" that was a good sign & a Ygrene endorsement? The 2nd Contract was supposed to be for a new metal fence, gate, front step railings, a repair on my rear deck wood railing & a cement trough to help the drainage in front & front side of my rear cottage. Basically to make a very long story briefer: From the very beginning I was promised a small crew of his best guys who could do anything expertly. Fast forward to multiple promises of crew coming to not show up or call. The written bid on 2nd Contract has changed twice: 1st add was $250.00 for a gate which has never been installed. Then on the day the concrete was coming suddenly my front steps which were unlevel (I was told multiple times they could jack them up & level them by the Manager & his lead Sub-Contractor/Handyman) to suddenly of course that can't be done & that even though I had already paid in full in cash "Before" the work was completed (Stupid I know!) that I now owed another $1,000.00 but that of course after I had emptied out what little savings I had to $0.00 I could make installment payments on? Fast forward over 3 months later: The old concrete & construction debris are still on the side of my narrow one car driveway with framing boards with nails sticking out of them, multiple excuses & no promise or date of if this will ever be removed? I can't afford to pay anyone else to complete the work now that I am broke from giving every last dollar to this company. My partial fence post on the right side has been yanked around so much by one of the Sub-Contractors that it is now loose & the fence shakes so I have no idea how a gate could be attached to that? I am having knee surgery the end of this year with no railings to pull myself up the stairs to access my house or to walk down. I have tried everything to have this project completed. Today I called Ygrene to file a complaint & escalate for the Hard-Scaping that is not completed ( I have an entire section of sidewalk that was not poured & I was told that I can just fill it with rocks?) Dave and his crew were excellent. Very professional with attention to detail. They actually painted interior and exterior and it looks beautiful. I will recommend them to friends and family.
