He did a wonderful job on my kitchen total gut and remodeling. He's such a hard worker and very dependable. He does great work also hand makes cabnets and doors. I couldn't be more pleased with my new kitchen.

Calix provided us with excellent and highly skilled carpentry services on multiple occasions. They’ve done several projects for us now, including replacing a bannister on our stairs (which included a new hand rail design), replacing a step on our indoor stairs as well as our gazebo outside, and designing and building a set of built-in shelves and cabinets. Carlos’s work is extremely high quality. He has excellent attention to detail and is very professional and timely. We happily and gladly recommend him for any carpentry services.

Carlos is an amazing carpenter! He has completed multiple large projects in our home. Specifically: (i) stabilizing old wood floors; (ii) constructing custom made bookshelves & desk; and (iii) creating an absolutely gorgeous hand rail for our staircase. Carlos replaced an old pony wall staircase with new stairs, railings, newel posts , and balusters. He was very helpful offering design ideas and it turned out beautiful. It’s rare to find a real carpenter and quality work!

Carlos was great! He did work to repair/replace some fencing, gate, stairs in our back deck, as well as patch a rotting porch post and rotting trim. He does fantastic work and really pays attention to detail. He worked efficiently, but never sacrificed quality. I would definitely hire him again.

Carlos did a phenomenal job replacing our unstable interior staircase bannisters, and creating new ones in previously dangerous locations. Carlos has a tremendous ability to perfect the finer details of a project. I would 100% recommend him for any carpentry related job in your house.

I don’t usually leave reviews but I must share how much we enjoyed working with Carlos and his company, Calix Carpentry. His price was fair, his work and attention to detail was impeccable. He takes great pride in his work and always arrived on time —and stayed until each stage of the job was done—sometimes until dusk. And did I mention he is kind? How rare to find all of these good qualities in a contractor these days!

Wonderful, very professional. I was told 2 days, and it took exactly 2 days. They cleaned up after themselves and the stairs look really good.

They did excellent work on schedule and at a reasonable price. Also helped identify fixtures. Couldn't ask for more from a contractor. Already recommended them to a neighbor who needs work done.

I can't say enough good things about them. The work was excellent (my neighbors also commented on how good it looked), they were on time each day, kept me up to date regarding the work that was being performed, and stayed until the end of the day each day during the project. They were respectful of my property, but most importantly, I felt like I was being treated as a customer whose business was appreciated and not just as another project that needed to get done as quickly as possible. One of the things that distinguished them from other contractors that I have used is that they did the little things to make sure everything was completed in a manner in which they would want it done if the work was being performed on their own houses. There was work that they did that I did not expect them to do (including work that was not part of our agreement) and all of it was done extremely well. I am used to dealing with contractors that will find additional work that "needs" to be done and then they want to bill excessive amounts because you have little choice but to have them perform the work. None of this happened with them and when there were minor things that needed to be done or I asked them to do, they included it at no additional cost, even though I offered to pay them. I don't want to imply that they will (or should) perform extra work for free, but it does say something about them when you can tell that they want to do the job correctly and my impression (based on my experience) is that they care about taking care of their customers. It really was a great experience and I have already started telling others that they need to contact them if they need any of this sort of work performed. Lastly, I received several estimates from contractors for the work that I needed performed and their prices were fair and reasonable, even before factoring in the quality of their work.

Calix Carpentry is a highly professional, hard working company. They are responsive, pleasant, timely (sometimes even early!) and expert at their craft. We used them to construct a storage area out of a stairwell and are extremely pleased with the result. We will definitely be using them for future projects and I highly recommend them.

Went well

It was great! Carlos brought the design that was in our heads, to our rooms. He made some nice design suggestions and his carpentry work is beautiful. He heads up a team that also did major painting and electrical work (installed recessed lighting, various outlets and ceiling fan) for us. He was always on time (and often early), put in long days and cleaned up after every day. Even when a case of COVID (in our house) put him 3 days behind schedule, the job was finished by the original promised deadline. Fair pricing, great work, attention to detail, nice people. We’d work with him again on any future project and highly recommend.

I contracted with Carlos of Calix Carpentry to replace some rotten wood around a very large, two-story window in my home. This was a big job requiring new framing, some esthetic wood-working, and painting to match existing window framing. He was absolutely outstanding. Great communication, excellent customer service, easy to work with, made great suggestions about the project, and provided very high-quality work at a fair price. In the end, everything looked absolutely fantastic. THIS IS HOW CONTRACTING SHOULD BE DONE! Thank you, Carlos!
