Fire or Smoke Damage Recovery Service
The Kitchen Cabinet Repairs photos posted on this page are of my home taken by C&A Construction Services http://********. The fire in our home occurred on 10/31/19. My family and I are still not able to move in and have been living in an RV since the fire. Let me tell you about these photos. -Pic #1 bedroom - The fire and smoke were pretty bad. Marcelino Marc Ramirez did not post a finished photo of the master bedroom because he did NOT finish the reconstruction of our home. He took the money we entrusted to him. We have not heard from Marcelino Ramirez directly since 5/18/20. No one showed up after 6/17/20. No explanation to us. -Pic #2 This is our floor prior to reconstruction; it was evenly installed and no tiles were popping up before the fire. -Pic #3 The floor was replaced and tiles were installed very unevenly. There were different people installing the tile. The tile was NOT upgraded. Marc bought a cheaper tile; this is NOT the one we chose. One of many cutting corners issues. The wall shelves are custom made and I did not request this. Marc had placed only 1 shelf in each niche; the top one. After it was glued in and I told him my original niches had 3 shelves, he just added 2 more unevenly spaced; which is going to drive me crazy. Zoom in and look at the wall texture. In between the two niches there is a huge bump. The wood is not sanded well either; you can see the joint. Walls and ceilings throughout were worked on by different people. Very noticeable in texture. Zoom in on the door, they tried to re-stain it and ended up creating a larger problem by taking it off and shaving the bottom. -Pic #4 The kitchen cabinets were NOT resurfaced. They might have wiped them down. There was no fire damage to the cabinets. They did remove the bottom cabinets to replace the floor tile, and when they put the cabinets back there were gaps in between the sections. Oh, and the granite, they completely messed up replacing the granite. There is a huge gap (not shown of course) between the countertop and wall. To cover the gap, Marc offered to install a beautiful backsplash. Which by the way, was installed terribly. Uneven and falling off; countertop outlets were all clogged with thinset which now have to be replaced. Their website is misleading, Marc is misleading, cuts corners, and still has our money; thousands. We have texted, called, and emailed with no response from Marc. Feel free to reach out to me if you would like any more information about C&A Construction Services led by Marcelino Ramirez. I DO NOT RECOMMEND! By the way, we have contracted an honest company to complete our home and repair C&As poor workmanship.
