Initially on 4/06/17 the Owner Carlos and his associate Hector came to my home to survey the job site to quote my job scope. They both seemed very pleasant and very friendly and it was explained that I wanted a 14' X 24' U shaped retaining wall for my greenhouse and the retaining wall needed to be filled with cement. Carlos assured me that it would be done correctly. I provided the cinder block and 50 bags of cement and they provided the Rebar, Mortar and the labor. Long story short, they completed the job I thought on 04/19/17. A week or so after when I was starting to start assembling my frame to the greenhouse, I leaned on one of the cinderblock and my hand started to sink into the cinderblock because they did not fill all the cinder blocks with cement, what they did do is filled them mostly with sand and then capped off the cinderblock with approximately 2" of cement. I then left Carlos a text with the issue and requested for him to contact me with his solution on how to correct this problem. Carlos never contacted me. I waited another 3-4 weeks and called him on a Sunday and he picked up this time and said that he would have his office contact me and set up a time to have one of his workers come over to my residence and see what needed to be done and then schedule a time he could complete the work. I also told him that I would still pay for the cement and he would provide the labor. He agreed, but unfortunately he never had his office contact me nor any of his workers. I called and left multiple texts and voice messages to his office and cell phone. It is now July and he has still not responded. I believe I gave him ample time and opportunity to respond and fix my retaining wall as a result of cutting corners at my expense. I STRONGLY do NOT recommend this business to anyone because obviously they do not honor their commitment to a contract or stand by their work.

These guys are courteous, friendly and very competent. They all work hard and fast! I am very pleased!

Carlos and his partner, unfortunately I didn't get his name, showed up on time. They went right to work and fix the flu pipe of my chimney. It only took him about five minutes to fix. He also stated that the chimney was very dirty and required cleaning. He was able to clean it right on the spot. He also explained to me the dangers of not cleaning a chimney pipe. On top of the professionalism and the knowledge of the job at hand, Carlos was very personable. We talked about fish since he saw my fish tank, we talked about remodeling homes since he saw I was in the process of a renovation, and we shared some great conversation. I would definitely recommend this company.

The appt. I was sent via email said 8 am but they came at 9. When I called they said it was scheduled between 8 and 9. I never heard that.

Carlos was very thorough, he inspected 3 chimneys, one was pristine so didn't need to be cleaned, showed me pics of before and after. Recommended a sealer for the crown and a new cap which I will be doing soon. Called prior to arrival.

I explained to the secretary the reason we needed the chimney inspection. She said it would be a Video inspection and that we would be able to see the results. The Cost is $100. When the owner showed up to conduct the inspection he did not even inspect the chimney but said it needed to be re-lined and took the $100 and left. I requested that he return the money. I've yet to see that money returned for the inspection that never took place.

Job done right with no mess. And very nice and professional staff.

They could do a better job of communicating about changes to schedule, but their work was above expectations.

he Has No Licence to work From CSIA of America , That is a photo copy of a self tested online pre requisite as to what you earn to be a Certified Inspector I have a Letter from them he did not take Course , he left flue open and told me to go to Home Depot and buy a 90 Angle Pipe and straight pipe and insert to connect my furnace . Prior Day I had a Chimney malfunction and Fire Dept had to come. He never cleaned the Creosote from Flue since it was thick I ended up in Hospital by EMS and kept there . What you want is a product that is tested and listed to UL 1777. That liner should also be insulated in order to be installed in accordance with the manufacturer’s installation instructions. The chimney must be swept well before the installation because it is not accessible after the liner has been installed. If you have a traditionally sized fireplace it is unlikely to work without spilling smoke. I would not advise you to use it if the chimney is dirty outside the liner. If the installation as you have described it is accurate it is completely wrong on many levels. I would hope that you can get a CSIA Certified chimney sweep to come out and detail what they find. The document you describe only shows that the person completed a review. That is very different than being Certified by CSIA. In order to sit for the CSIA exam a sweep must have 9 continuing education credits and they accomplish this by taking the review. The certificate that he showed you was the credits he received for taking the online CCS review. Unfortunately, unless he is a CSIA certified chimney sweep there are no grounds for us to have you file an Ethics complaint as there is no action that can be taken unless he was certified. I would suggest that you file an official complaint with your state Attorney General’s office. C&C Masonry and Chimneys is extremely responsive, proactive, timely and professional. On the day of my appointment, they called ahead of time to let me know they would be a little late due to some nasty weather. Small and refrshing gesture! While here they performed a thorough inspection of my fireplace and did not try and sell me additional services. They even proactively provided their license and insurance information for my records. It&apos;s hard to find honest and responsive folks. Save yourself the trouble and call them first.

We just moved to Stamford. Our house has two fire places, one upstairs and one downstairs. Carlos and Jennifer had to cancel our appointment for Friday morning due to inclement weather coming in. They worked to fit me in Thursday night. They cleaned and made some recommendations, then left everything cleaner than when they arrived.
