We started work with Candance & Design in January of 2022 after meeting with Candy personally, months before, to work out a remodel plan for our home. Candy was kind, knowledgeable, and listened to everything we were throwing at her. We wanted an updated, brighter, and more functional space for our growing family and her renderings were all of those things and more. We loved being able to see our space transform virtually and make changes as needed until it was perfect. Candy was always open and willing to make any changes along the way, even when we changed the initial layout more than once! She never seemed to worry about any issues, and always had a solution for anything we brought up. Throughout the process, we added a few things on and ended up remodeling basically our entire home inside and out. As always, there were some hiccups along the way. Our project was projected to be completed in May, but went over that deadline by about three months due to some scheduling conflicts, project delays/changes, miscommunication, and materials being backordered. The biggest struggle for us throughout the project was the miscommunication, we felt that our wants/concerns/needs weren't always heard, or they were heard but not relayed correctly, resulting in frustration for everyone. We also felt very repetitive in communicating things because it seemed as though not everyone was on the same page at times. Most of the subcontractors were great, with a few exceptions. We stopped in often to check on progress and every time we encountered someone, they were more than happy to talk to us and even answered questions and concerns we had or talked about changes with us and Candy or Cole. Candy and her team are all excellent and the nicest people to work with. They also were always available when we had questions or concerns. Our daughter had her first birthday during our renovation, and they were so thoughtful in bringing her a little gift! Overall, our home is beautiful inside and out. The craftsmanship is excellent and the designs that Candy and her team at Candance & Design worked on to make our home what we needed it to be are perfect. We appreciate the months of hard work put into our home and will enjoy it for years to come!

Highly recommend Candy Olson and team at Candance & Design to design your new basement! They listened to how we would use it, and added details we didnâ t even think to ask for. We had a couple big asks, and they made them work! Long countertop, and we always want the ping-pong table out. The walk through basement pantry was a fun add!  Looking forward to finishing the main area- there is room for watching a movie, a board game table, ping pong, and the treadmill if we want, all at the same time! So functional. Candy was easy to get ahold of and always answered our questions. The entire project took longer than anticipated, but we also expected some delays with supply chains. So excited to fully move into this space soon!

Candy provided good and practical design ideas. Polite and skilled contractors! Sometimes better communication and detailed work orders were needed.

Our remodel project resulted in adding 1400sqft of finished space in our basement. Candy's attention to detail on the initial design is what sold us - one example: she noticed our dogs were an important part of the family and included dog beds in the virtual rendering! It's a small example, but demonstrated that she really understood what we wanted our new space to be and that our visions were aligned. Candy was also able to use innovative solutions to incorporate features that other builders told us were impractical or downright impossible. Our project ran a bit longer than scheduled. Some of the overrun was us changing our mind or altering the plan once we could actually stand in our space and some of it was delays in scheduling. Overall, not a big deal, simply made the overall experience good/great instead of outstanding. Several of Candy's sub-contractors were outstanding. The team that installed our egress windows was top-notch. And our finish carpenter not only did excellent work, he also helped with several suggestions along the way that greatly improved the livability of our space. Overall we are very pleased with our new space. Candy was successful in translating our shared vision to reality. She and her team were admirably responsive throughout the project. Rare is the contractor who will actually pick up your call whether it is call #1 or call #1000. Even more important than that was the fact that issues or questions were addressed promptly. Good news or bad news, we at least had the latest updates as soon as possible. Our project had a few bumps in the road. Candy and her team were able to navigate those detours and keep things moving forward. The path was a little longer than we anticipated but again, overall we are happy with the end result. We have a beautiful new space that is quickly becoming the focal point of our home.

Our house project included adding a sewing/family room, bedroom, and bathroom to our unfinished basement. Candy greatly helped create the design of the finished product by use of her rendering software. This software provided a virtual view of features before starting construction. Candy also brought in all subcontractors for a pre-work evaluation heading off any surprises. Throughout the project her HVAC, framing, electrical, plumbing, drywall, and finishing crews were consistently professional, respectful and performed quality work. We are very pleased with Candy and all her crew for a job well done and will enjoy our new space for years to come.

Candace & Design, LLC recently completed a full on kitchen remodel in my 1908 home. From our initial meeting I knew Candy was the right choice for me. She took my idea and turned it into reality. Beautifully. From the presentation, time-line, and updates throughout Candy and her team were professional, thoughtful, and FUN ! This was a once in a lifetime experience for me, and Candy made it an exceptional adventure. As one would expect there were a few bumps. They were addressed and fixed immediately. I had more than one non-kitchen repair come up along the way. Candy took care of those as well. Amazing customer service from a wonderful team. The end result is an absolutely stunning kitchen that has been nothing short of a dream come true for me. I couldn't have asked for more. Candy made me feel like I was #1 priority. She is truly amazing.

We recently completed an extensive renovation of our 1960s ranch home, including the kitchen, dining room, living room, family room and hallway. Beginning with our first design meeting and ending with the last few items on the punch list, Candy and her team were professional, timely, and great to work with. Candy was able to transform our vision into reality, beginning with computer renderings which included her expert design ideas and recommendations. She was always open to any changes we wanted throughout the process. We were given a detailed timeline of when subcontractors would be working on various projects including demolition, carpentry, drywall, flooring, plumbing, cabinetry, masonry (fireplace) and painting. As with any big renovations, there are always a few hiccups along the way. An unexpected issue with one of the subcontractors was promptly and professionally resolved by Candy, who was always looking out for our best interest, making sure everything was to our complete satisfaction. Again, we are very happy to have selected Candance & Design, LLC for our remodeling project and are thoroughly enjoying the transformation of our home. Candy is a good project manager who is very diligent about overseeing her subcontractors. She doesn't settle for anything less than excellence.
