Canteira Stone Collection, LLC

The owner of this business, Ruben Curiel, cannot be trusted. One must watch over his work at all times or he will cut corners. He does not pay his employees, so the work takes much, much longer than necessary. He pads his bills with unnecessary expenses, and although he gives a two-year warranty on his work, it is nearly impossible to get him to honor it. I recently asked him to come to correct some of the work that was done incorrectly, and after a month he finally sent people out but they started doing work I never asked for.

They were the most expensive contractors out of all we interviewed but we still hired them because our neighbor recommended them. They used some sort of material that leaked all over our house facade. It looks UGLY! They promised to fix it but never did. Stopped answering emails and phone calls after a while. DO NOT hire!

Hired Canteira to demolish balcony down to frame and studs; then rebuild to original form, adding proper drainage and sealing to prevent water penetration. Ruben insisted on changing existing hardie plank underside to stucco. This increased the price significantly. It also increased the weight four to five-fold. He never disclosed this to me. Instead, to compensate for the extra weight, he unilaterally decided to rebuild the surface of my balcony four (4) inches lower. This caused the iron railing not to fit properly and created a trip-hazard when walking out into the balcony. When confronted, he offered a step of building a step from the threshold to the balcony surface. This is totally unacceptable. The stucco crew of Canteira seem to be skilled at their trade. However, The business practices of Ruben are unacceptable and have left me with a situation that is unsafe and could devalue my property. I would not recommend this company.

I hired them to fix a 2nd story patio that was collecting water. The install looked nice but did not function and now have as much water collecting as I did before. I have given them a month to fix it, and every time it is, we will be there this week. No one ever shows up. For the sake of complete accuracy, they did make one attempt to stop but never called or even let me know until they were there. I had just left and couldn't get back for a couple of hours and so started another round of we will be there texts.

Timely fix

Ruben and his workers are so professional and knowledgeable and experienced I could not be happier. Finishing ahead of time. They were so quiet I did not even know the scaffolding was going up. Highly recommend them

This was a stucco repair which included studs and window repairs. They were able to fix the areas with no evidence of the repair. It really looks brand new. Ruben was great to work with. I recommend him and his crew.

Not the cheapest, but very courteous and experienced crew, constantly supervised by a knowledgeable manager, Ruben. Repairing stucco is very messy and especially when it has been raining a lot during our repair. The crew took the time to prepare the work area and tried to minimize disturbances to us and our neighbors. While working in between downpours, the crew ensured the work areas were covered, kept dry and clean. The crew would not take shortcuts and took all necessary steps to do the job right e.g., a garage door technician was hired to take off the garage doors before replacing the beam and repairing the stucco above; they built a box to protect the water main from debris. They were attentive to the details e.g., like allowing sufficient drying time before painting to ensure a satisfactory stucco finish, located tiles and paint to match the original. They were responsive e.g., whenever there was any concern, Ruben would respond with a solution, either on site or by texts. Although the job was completed later than promised, I would not hesitate to use them again for any future projects.

Ruben was great to work with he meets my expatiation timeliness of his responsive. Ruben stucco work is excellent and worth hiring

They did everything they said they would in a timely manner.

Company has integrity I appreciate that

Always easy to work with, I haven't had any concerns but if I did I'm confident He would resolve them.

He did a siding job for me. I referred him to many other people as well! Everybody has been very satisfied with his work.

Straight forward honest and would use him again.
