Cabinets Reface
Was looking to renovate my kitchen and bathroom cabinets. Looked into the replacing and refacing option. The prices for replacing were outrageous. I then looked into refacing. Keith came out and did an inspection and offered a price which was lower than replacing. I definitely have to say that Capital Cabinet Refacing (CCR) did an amazingly awesome job! My kitchen and bathroom cabinets look great and the masterpiece of the whole job was the replacing of my kitchen countertop and pass-through window countertop. My kitchen is completely transformed! Nicholas, one of the workers, was great. He even went the extra mile to add some rubber dots(the ones that go on the inside of the cabinet doors to prevent "banging") to where the door handles would touch either a wall or an appliance to prevent any scratches. CCR was also able to match the 50/50 sink (double sink) to the one that I had so none of my plumbing needed to be cut or retro-fitted. My only regret on this job was not getting my sink countertops replaced as I did in the kitchen. The countertop pushed it to another level of WOW! If I could post before and after pics here, I would. WTG, CCR! Yours truly, Andrew.

At first we were looking into re-painting our kitchen cabinets. After a few estimates, we decided re-facing was a better cost-effective option. We are very satisfied with the quality of the product and the workmanship. Javier and his crew were very professional and attentive to details. They were very responsive to changes and requests that we made. We would not hesitate to recommend Capital Cabinet Refacing to friends and family or anyone else looking to update the look of their kitchen.

Having the cabinets in my kitchen, bathroom and bedroom vanity refaced was an ideal solution for my circumstances. I was able to reuse all my existing fixtures, granite countertop and tile floor. Also, I did not have to deal with the logistics of being without the use of a bathroom during the work period. In addition to the initial consultation and follow-up measurement visit, the actual job took two full days. The Capital Cabinet Refacing crew did a very good job and managed their time very well. There was only one glitch. One of the kitchen cabinet doors did not get placed on the original order. However, this was handled professionally and in a timely manner. The door was ordered, arrived one week later and the next day the crew came back and quickly installed it. It has been a couple of months now, and so far the materials appear to be of good quality. Overall, I was very pleased with the value I received for my money.

We chose Capital Cabinet Refacing to do our small condo kitchen for their pricing. They were much more affordable than the big box stores, and it’s nice to do work with a local business. They offer a lifetime warranty on the cabinets that is transferable to the next owner, just like the box stores. The only down side was the color selection for laminate cabinets was not as large, but we were able to find something that worked for our taste. We had our initial appointment in mid to late April and our cabinets were installed mid June. We were getting the cabinets done for ourselves and were not in a hurry. We were also told in advance before we even signed a contract the wait time would be long due to their high volume of projects. However, it only took them one day to do our small project and I’m pleased with the outcome. I would definitely recommend them, but just make sure to factor in at least 6 weeks for the job to be completed.

Nicholas, the installer, was absolutely superb. He put in extra time and effort to ensure the project satisfied our high standards. His efforts earn 5 stars. Communication with the owner, however, was awful. From the time we signed the contract he was very difficult to reach, and failed numerous times to return calls as promised. It was only after many attempts that he scheduled the final measurements. That completed, he promised the work would commence within four weeks. Again, it took several attempts to finally reach him and schedule the installation. He called several days before the installation date to ask if he could do the install several days earlier, which we agreed to. I emptied all the drawers and cabinets and even removed doors and drawer fronts in preparation for work the following day. Later that evening he called to tell me that the work couldn't commence the next day because not all of the needed materials (i.e. doors and drawer fronts) had not been delivered. Sensing my disappointment, he agreed to do the carpentry work the next day or two, then return when the rest of the materials arrived. That meant we couldn't use the cabinetry until that happened. A couple of other issues arose that further delayed the project. Finally, on October 17th, the installation which began on September 21st and was to take 2 days was completed. As I said earlier, Nicholas did a great job, even though he had to work without any assistance (except for mine) and the kitchen looks great. With all the surrounding issues with Capital Cabinet Refacing, I cannot recommend them.

"we always try to install our kitchens on time but unfortunately the manufacturing plant holds up the process. Our installers make our company great with there attention to detail and pride in what they do. we are determined to improve our communication with our customers. We field a lot of phone calls everyday because people like to do business with us."

Worst experience ever! Note everyone else's experience in terms of starting the work. So don't ignore that consensus if anything. The worst $6500.00 we've ever spent. Below are the facts: 1. Originally Keith verberally told us he would paint the interior of our cabinents then he changed his mind and indicated he wasn't bound by that since it's not on the contract. 2. Contract says 4-5 weeks they started the work 8-9 weeks actually. When I asked about this he said it says "estimated on the contract". 3. Company owner Keith and or installers lie. Keith told us that the cabinet installers told him that they were done, but they were not. I asked the installers when they came back out did you say that they said no. Installer indicated they would be back in 24 hours. They did not comeback in 24 hours. They came back in 48+ hours. 4. Cabinet installers barely spoke English so it was difficult to communicate with them. 5. Countertop was installed by sub-contractor and did not make cut out for faucet and indicated he would return next day. He never showed up. He ended up returning 48+ hours later. 6. Countertop person caused damage to our wall. Keith told us they would repair it. When he showed up to do faucet cut out he said he wouldn't. We had to practically yell at him to get him to repair wall damage. 7. Owner Keith lost his cool with my wife and began to yell.
Response from Capital Cabinet Refacing, Inc.
"this complaint is not from the customer. It is a complaint from the customers son who was trying to strong arm us into giving them free material. The son said he would write bad reviews if we did not give him the extra material which was very expensive. The actual customer (his father) was very happy with our work. the son wanted us to do labor that we do not do in our refacing business."

It took several tries to get a date to get this project started. I needed to reach out to the company three times after they promised to call me back. The workers themselves were very good and the cabinet fronts are great. Only problem was that the workers did not cover the open cabinets (all were open), so when they cut or sanded debris went into every cabinet. Dropping plastic over the fronts they were not working on would have been an easy and efficient solution. It will take me weeks to empty every cabinet, vacuum and dust every item and replace everything. They did pay attention to many details and tested every one of the drawers and cabinets to be sure they moved well.

Replaced 1980's white melamine doors and drawer fronts on large kitchen, four bathroom vanities. All doors and drawers now soft-close, required replacing drawer hanging tracks with soft-close tracks. Refaced because I had replaced most of the original melamine counter tops with beautiful black-galaxy granite a couple of years ago and new cabinets would have required destroying and replacing the granite. Old drawer fronts (melamine) were not attached in a way that allowed screwing on new replacements. All other contractors who bid the job bid replacing all drawers completely. These folks discussed the situation with me and I agreed to have them simply install new wooden drawer fronts inside the drawer-box side rails and then blind-screw the new exterior drawer fronts to that new wood, greatly reducing their cost estimate! Estimate, detailed measuring completed on a quick schedule. Six weeks later the new, factory built to fit, solid oak, doors and drawer fronts were installed over a couple of days and look superb. These folks were by far the low bidder of 4 estimates, but the results were superb in every respect. As an option, we purchased the cabinet and drawer handles separately and they installed them as part of the installation process at no extra charge. I can not praise the professionalism, flexibility, pricing and beauty of the end results highly enough. Everyone was cheerful, helpful and worked from morning to evening to get us what I regard as an absolutely beautiful and cost effective job. They have been in business many more years than shown above in their listing, so don't be put off by the business date above. Everyone that worked on this project had several years of experience, and it showed in terms of the end result and how quickly it was accomplished. For a total cost of around $12,000, including the handles we purchased, I have a beautiful new looking very large kitchen with built-in desk and four bathroom vanities that could not look better if I spent $30,000 or more on new cabinets, thanks to Capital Cabinet Refacing.
