I am updating my review to lower my rating. I had my roof replaced and it looks good and doesn't leak. But thast is as far as it goes. The job was rushed. The 2-3 day job was done in one day. There was minimal cleanup so I have had to pick up a couple of hundred nails from my driveway and lawn. Bad for tractors and cars. My porch ceiling has nails coming through it because the wrong nails were used. Not super happy and I'll never use this outfit again. I'm sorry I tried Angie's. Two weeks later and I'm still finding nails. At least they offered to send the crew back to clean up better, it's just not worth it.

The "What work did you need done" categories does not apply. Roofing was not an option.
After many delays for weather, the crew arrived on a sunny but windy day. The four man crew worked very fast to strip the old roof and get the new one one. What was initially expected to be a 2 or 3 day job was done in one day. The roof looks good and so far no leaks (haven't had any real rain since, just a bit of snow). The large pieces of the old roofing were picked up and the pallets were gone. I picked up several dozen nails from my driveway and after seeing the number of nails on the lawn I ended up purchasing a magnetic sweeper and picked up several hundred nails, some staple sticks and a beer bottle cap. I also cleaned up several cigarette buts from the lawn and driveway.

We hired Capital Construction for a complete residing of our historic farm house. The scope included the removal of the old cedar siding, necessary sheathing repairs, building wrap and the installation of James Hardie Fiber Cement Planks and new trim work. From the initial consultation with Capital Construction, the communication was clear and transparent. They provided a detailed, fixed-price quote with no hidden fees and clearly explained the materials, timeline, and warranty. The installation crew was incredibly meticulous. The quality of the finished product is flawless—the seams are clean, the caulking is neat, and the details around the windows and doors are precise. What impressed me the most was their attention to what you can't see: they took the time to properly install the weather barrier and trim, ensuring a long-lasting, watertight envelope for our home. James spent all afternoon presenting the options so I could choose the products and prices I preferred. I thought the price was high but agreed it was a fair deal considering I’d already waited two years for other companies to do the work. I was surprised by how soon they were able to begin, and was kept in touch with the timeline by phone. The three fellows who came to do the work lived about four hours away, making it a very long day for them. They did spend one night in a local hotel, but then decided they’d rather be back in their own homes for the night. They worked nonstop until both a deck and a front porch were completed, the last day until about 10PM. They were very pleasant and polite. Their project manager visited and checked on the progress and completion. I wasn’t completely happy with the concrete padding, but overall so pleased to have the work done. Aside, my account went to a finance company that quoted me a different plan, and they don’t take credit cards.

Two stars because the work was eventually finished, but they left work partially completed with a dormer exposed to rain for several weeks. They also sent a finished work certification before the work was done to ask me to certify that it was complete. The owner discounted the work slightly, but it was a bad experience that delayed the house renovation and I do not recommend this contractor to others

This was a great experience The salesman Steve had a great presentation and all the Hardie samples on really cool fold out displays The project started sooner than expected which was great. Communication from Ana and Cynthia in production was constant and the team finished a head of schedule. We are already planning our roof with them before winter, we hope Jamie is out project manager again.

Capital Construction installed what appeared to be a great rubber roofing, that came with a 10-year warranty, for our home in Cambridge. Unfortunately, most likely unbeknownst to them, the rubber material is a happy home for raccoons and other critters. After only 1 year of having it done, spending over $25k for only a portion of the roof, raccoons managed to claw through the rubber and expose 3 big holes. This allowed water to seep through after every rain storm. The ceiling below the roof eventually caved in and cost us numerous amount of time and hassle to repair. Sadly, Capital Construction never returned my phone call to re-patch the rubber, nor did they apologize for this. Although they were quick to get the sale and install the rubber, they've been unresponsive in our unfortunate plight. I would not recommend this material for any roof as it is definitely not critter safe. And it's VERY expensive.

Excellent time management. Work was completed within few hours. Cleaning procedures after job done was outstanding. The quality of materials used by this company is amazing, all top quality materials were used. The project manager Anthony A was very friendly and excellent on keeping in contact explaining all about the project to be done. I regret ever having contracted with this company. A "few weeks" project took over 2 months between delayed start (after materials and dumpster arrived) and workers who showed up at most 2-3 days each week (not weather related). Materials and equipment left all over the yard (such that I could not even mow my lawn), and they tried installing cheaper railings when I had paid a premium for an upgrade. Customer service was pitiful, despite numerous calls and texts, things just never seemed to get resolved in any timely manner. As a final insult, when finally finished, they were pressing me to sign off on a "job well done" w/in 24 hours with multiple texts/voicemails, e-mails and an in-person visit. We have undertaken several major home projects over the past few years, and are accustomed to occasional delays and frustrations, but this was beyond anything I could have imagined. In the end it all looks good, but I truly wish I had gone with another vendor.

The team at Capital has been truly wonderful to work with. Jim Sakkos helped educate me on my different options, and worked with me to find one that suited my budget and taste. The vinyl siding was done quickly, the team was polite and tidy, and my house looks amazing now. The team is responsive to any and all concerns. The warranty is amazing, as well.

We had the wonderful experience of having Capital Construction reside our home with Hardie Board in March. The old wood siding had not been kept up and we knew we would need to address it soon, however, we were intimidated by the scale and unknown of the project. The Capital Construction team was informative, not pushy and shared the same passion for our vision for our home. Our project manager, Jay, was personable, communicative with us, and was transparent about possible things that could emerge with the lack of upkeep, so we felt informed in making decisions throughout the process. Eddie and his crew were beyond friendly and impressed us daily with their work ethic. I left for work the morning they started and returned to have find them already having removed all of the old siding in one day. We were informed the project could take 2-3 weeks and they managed to complete it in 6 work days, which blew us away. Eddie also worked with us in developing a custom hay door as part of our vision. We continue to see people slow down and look at the home even months later and we often get compliments from our neighbors. The best feedback came from our next door neighbor who grew up in the home when he walked over and mentioned "I never imagined it could be so beautiful". The pictures speak for themselves. Thank you Capital Construction for helping make the home of our dreams.
