On time, good communication excellent work

A tremendous language barrier between homeowner(English speaker) and the three(3) workers(Non-English speakers). Sporadic supervision by project manager during my project, then when homeowner expressed frustration with poor workmanship (damage to property, leaving nails all over the property) and outrage regarding misogynistic attitudes suffered by Capital Construction employees, the homeowner was dismissed and disrespected by project supervisors as well as office personal. My concerns were never addressed nor did I receive an apology.

We probably paid more for this "all in one day" type of construction contract than if we had hired an independant contractor, but it was well worth it. Quality product, professionally installed. Very good customer service.

Was impressed by the end product, Capital Construction delivered on what they said they would do. While the project was more expensive than other quotes we received, we were comfortable in spending this much due to the professionalism and level of detail to each step in the process.

I particularly liked the way the project was handled from presentation to closeout. Dan did a great job with presentation and gaining our trust. Jay A. did a great job managing the project and ensuring our needs were met. The office team was great at keeping us informed on the progress. Great team! Great job!

Luis and his crew worked on a Sunday. They started around 8 am and worked until 8 pm. It was very, very cold and very windy, with a bit of rain and snow flurries. They did an amazing job and when they finished they cleaned up all the debri. Each person we dealt with was professional and explained each step from the beginning to the end. Jay came by and called several times to check on the process. Would highly recommend them.

Everyone from the Sales rep, project manager, site manager and installers were very professional. The installers showed up on time and worked late each day. They cleaned up each night and at the end of the project. The project manager kept in contact with us everyday and showed up to go over daily progress. Very happy with the outcome of my siding and roofing project. Would definitely use Capital Construction in the future if needed.

I can walk down the steps from my slider. but thats about it. It took 4 months for 2 guys to build 3 stairs (poorly) and then another month for them to correct it. They were quick to come out for an estimate and get a contract signed. After that, total disaster. I wanted steps built out of my new patio door. Everyone else I asked said it was a one person, one day type of job and it was not complicated (as explained by the guy that did the estimate). I never got a start date, i kept asking about it and all they said was they're waiting on the permits. I finally got a call 2 months later from a new project manager (new to the company) saying he was clearing up a clerical error at the ISD. Capital had filed the paperwork incorrectly, and never followed up on it. They said they'd start that week, on a Friday. They didn't show. Didn't show on Saturday. The materials were delivered to my house and left on the sidewalk 4 days before anyone actually came to work. I had to help the project manager move all that stuff into the yard. The subcontractors came on the Monday around 3pm. It gets dark around 4. they left a huge mess in my yard and only got the stringers attached. The didn't return the next day. It took over 4 days for 2 guys to get the steps built. They would also turn up unannounced or when not scheduled which is not ok. When I went out to look, measurements were off by INCHES, kick plates were not flush, posts were placed an uneven distance from the house, pieces of wood chunked under the riser where cement was supposed to be. They had actually installed the wrong materials, NOT what I had ordered. No one bothered to check the contract, notice that they'd delivered the wrong materials and just installed it anyways. Garbage was left all over my yard, they left 3 unused bags of cement on my patio. Only the new project manager could see the problems and made any effort at all to fix things. So many promises to come out and fix it but "something always comes up." The person assigned to resolve my problems actually refused to answer my questions and phone calls. Not professional or mature at all. Subcontractors are not being held accountable for their substandard work and the company makes no effort towards discounts. THey offered $350 discount for this joke of a job costing $9400. My mistake for not doing my full research and actually assuming this company is of quality. 4 star reviews are lies, take a good look. at the 1 stars. Do not hire this company.

Very Informative throughout project

the workers were accurate with the instalation ...using a level, made sure all the siding peices were straight.

Very professional start to finish

Customer service is practically nonexistent. For a company that prides themselves on offering great customer service to clients, I felt they were severely lacking. The actual quality of the work looks good to me (as Im not an expert on roofing obviously), but the entire process was a headache. If you bring up any concerns, you are met with condescending remarks and screenshots of fine print in the contract that absolves them of any personal accountability for anything. The company talks highly of themselves and how they do not upcharge/upsell products but they absolutely do and get different answers from different people in different department - I.e. one tells you;It was supposed to be x dollars but I gave you a discount on this additional work; while another will explain an invoice showing no discount at all and try to justify overcharging on a project thats already costing you $21k. Will not use this company again.

They showed up on schedule and worked three days in a row to complete the job. I also received gutters. They left the property clean. Thank you, for a job well done.

Save your money and hire someone else.

I donâ t like to post negative reviews but our patience has been exhausted with no end in sight. I cannot recommend Capital Construction. We contracted with them in May 2023 for an exterior paint job, gutters, and re-shingling a bulkhead. We are in month 5 with no communication or timeline for completion. The following jobs on our contract remain outstanding: 1. Nails sticking out on the interior of our bulkhead, a safety hazard; 2. No gutters installed on our house, which has lead to water leaking in our basement during this rainy summer; and 3. A pile of project waste in our yard as winter approaches (also a safety hazard, once it snows). We were not given the communication we were promised. We have no idea why the remaining components of our contract cannot be completed in a timely manner. Trying to contact customer service or the project manager is like banging our heads against the wall. We were patient given the humidity and rain of the summer, but we now feel we have no other recourse but to file a BBB complaint.

The salesman was great, very professional and a nice guy. The office staff is another issue. Sent multiple emails just to get updates to my installation schedule. Emails were not returned. Questions were not answered. I was told 6 to 8 weeks from start to finish. Entire project took 3 1/2 months. Unacceptable. Once they put a project manager on board, Scott, the project went better. Scott is a very good communicator. The impression of the company is that they took on too much work and didn't have the staff to cover the work. Communication with the customer needs to be much better, after all, the customer is paying the bills. One of their office staff told me he would get back to me with a schedule. Never heard a word from the guy.

Capital Construction did none of the work! I knew that the windows were being manufactured by Alside Windows but I didnâ t know that Alside would be contracting to an independent company to install them. I have to wonder what I needed Capital for!

Overall the process went smoothly. There are a lot of people involved - one person does estimates, one is the project manager, one does customer service., etc. The price was high and I expect that was largely due to all of the overhead and people involved. They use subcontractors to complete the work. The work was completed in a timely manner and done well for the most part. Any issues that came up were resolved relatively quickly. I would have liked a little more attention to detail, but we are very happy with the finished product.

Capital did an amazing job from start to finish on this project and it was completed quite quickly. The quality of the workmanship was tremendous and the folks working on the project were highly professional in every way.

Communication could have been better. Needed to call them back to clean up the site.

This team worked through the rain to finish the job and keep me dry and safe. I give them 5 stars.
