Capitol Contracting LLC

Only gave 1/2 or 1 star because i had to. He was hired to build a deck and took a $3,750 deposit. Started playing games about delays and personal issues and never showed up to do the work. Still has not returned the deposit. Do yourself a favor and dont hire him. Currently working with court and DA office to get deposit back.

Brian Olson of Capitol Contracting, LLC (aka Capital Contracting) legally owes us over $4,000 for a basement remodel job he did not complete in February of 2020. He required a $4000 deposit to cover labor and materials for the first phase. Once hired, he worked one day, then was unable to return due to other jobs and sickness. He did less than $1000 of work for us. We mutually agreed to part ways with Brian and Capitol Contracting and he agreed to return our deposit. He then left the state for a couple of weeks to get away from personal issues, once he returned, he gave us excuse after excuse, broken promise after broken promise and lie after lie and has not return the deposit money. We took him to small claims in July 2020, which we won the case but he has failed to comply with the court order, has not made any payments in the past 15 months, and is now on contempt as well as breach of contract. We do not recommend this contractor to anyone!! We also know MULTIPLE other people who have had similar and horrible experiences with this contractor. He takes the money, fails to complete the work, or does it in a shoddy manor, and does not return deposits. deposits. We made a promise to him we would take down all of our reviews once we are paid in full. So if you are reading this, this contractor has yet to pay back the money he owes us.

He took a deposit for half down and before work was supposed to start it got pushed back for 2 weeks for various car or family issues. Once demo begun he left a job undone. My bathroom is destroyed and he made excuse after excuse from getting sick to not having a babysitter to saying his car was towed by the police for driving without a license. Now I am stuck with a bathroom that has been tore up and no way to get it done. I asked for him to drop off my materials that I paid for and got days of excuses so I just agreed to take a refund and now he tells me that he does not even have the money to refund me. This is unacceptable to run business like this. Take money for a job and leave it half done and keep money for materials I never got.

Very uneven textures, used two different texture types, did not use drop cloths, and stained carpet . Pascal all over light fixtures, did not cover the trim, various cracks, and rough sanding. Threatened to put a lean on my house.

Brian did a great job. Very personable and easy to talk to. Answered all my questions. Made me very comfortable. Showed up promptly or called if he was running behind. I appreciated that. Cost was very reasonable. I am very happy with my new floor, would gladly recommend him. Thank You Brian

Very polite person but not professional.

I promptly got a call from Brian. we scheduled a time to see the work to be done. He presented me with and excellent typed quote complete with pictures. Very well done. He came out an removed some dry wall in my garage and patched some other sheet rock holes. Visited my home 4 times. Work was completed within a week. Done very well. Far better then if I would have tried to tackle it myself. And done at a very except-able cost. 5 stars all the way. I will definitely be using his services for some other home projects.

They did interior painting this winter. Very professional & excellent customer service. On time & dependable, eager to please. Great people to work with. Would definitely hire again.

Amazing crew, Knocked out 400sqf of vinyl plank in 5 hrs. Came back and did hopscotch tile design in bathroom. Knocked down a half wall for an open concept and drywalled the area from where the wall attached to the other wall. 2 day job for everything. Definitely recommend. Kind, respectful and knows exactly what they're doing

I hired them to paint, carpet, and put up crown molding in my sons bedroom. They did a great job. Kept me in the loop with every step of the project. Weâ re done in a day. And came back the next day to put the molding up when the paint was dry. I priced out the material I was looking for at home depot and they were the only estimate that was even close to the price on the material I asked for. He didnâ t mark up the prices of any material and made me feel very confident that he was the right person for my project.
