Hired to put a privacy fence in. Late every day on the installation of the fence, didn't clean up after his crew, water bottles and cigarette butts everywhere. He swears I don't need a permit for the privacy fence and if I do he will take care of it. Now I have been cited by the city. I called and text him but I don't get a response.

Promised a one-day job. Didn't show up when promised repeatedly. Wall looks worse than before they began and is still not finished 11 days later.

He lied about material costs, eg, told us he purchased French doors for $900 that he actually got for $450. He also said no screen door was available because it was custom designed. I bought the screen door myself forgot for $50 less than Capt J said it would cost, and installed it myself in under an hour....just another liar contractor to never hire again!

we've had trouble because of the weather and can't finish until we get a couple dry days. I am actually paying a little extra than his quote (which was more than fair) because I added an extra job he could do. He is a young man, which surprised me, but he is building a business and doing OK.
