Careful Painting, Inc. has been in business since 1984, first in the St. Croix Valley, now in Northfield. We can handle all of your home interior and exterior painting and decorating needs. Short notice is not a problem--we enjoy helping our customers prepare for graduations, weddings, and new babies! Jolene has a degree in fine art from the U of M, and can assist you with color selection and coordination. Mark is a PDCA Certified Residential Painting Contractor with the resources necessary to see even large jobs through to successful completion. Mark and Jolene are cooperating on their "Craft Stewardship Project" to advance residential paintng techniques and to preserve traditional skills such as window glazing, stain matching, plaster repair, and wallpaper installation. They are just getting into troweled-on coatings such as LustreStone, Silkstone, and Venetian Plasters. Our Commercial customers inlcude Dan Stadler at Carleton College and Scott Norman at Northfield Hospital. We also do finishing work for Northfield Construction Company and LeGarre Construction. Interior residential repainting is our specialty, but we also do exterior painting, deck refinishing, plaster repair and texturing, appartment repainting, and decorative painting including Rosemalling and Embellishing. We work from Rochester to Scandia, and from Minneapolis to Hudson. Our labor rate is $45 per hour, per painter, which includes all insurances, equipment and overhead. We provide firm written proposals and expect one half of the total cost of the project at the start of the job. At Careful Painting we prefer to work with Benjamin Moore Paints.
