Carlson Painting

We had several painters inquire about our painting project. The initial scope of work was just touch-ups to our 11-year-old house. But only Carlson Painting gave me straight forward honest take that doing that would cause our house to look like an Easter Egg due to the old paint fading, etc. So, he gave us an initial quote to complete our whole house excluding garage of 4,000 (4500 with garage). We thought we could do it ourselves for about 1/2 the cost. Big mistake. Only do this if you have a full week, you can fully commit to painting (and you have helpers that do not glop paint onto walls, causing all kinds of runs). So, we ended up an initial 11-hour day with lots of paint everywhere, and glopped paint with severe runs here-there-and-everywhere). That is when I knew I should have just gone professional out of the gate. We probably spent a good 1200 just on paint. Luckily, Carlson Painting was available during the time we needed and bailed us out.

Painted 21 shutters and was finished in just 3 days. Iâ m very happy with outcome.

He did the job well

I had cracks in my ceiling and wanted it painted to cover them and can still see where the cracks are and I was left with a white powder all over my furniture and floors and had to clean that up, yes Mike offered and I said I would do it myself and I did. He put plastic all over and I did not realize I would end up with more work.

Kinda expensive .

I hired this guy to paint my condo. I paid him extra to get good quality paint and not be messy. He did a lousy, messy job. I can see roller and brush marks everywhere. He blamed it on the paint. What professional painter does that? Especially after I gave him extra to buy quality paint. He said he used Sherwin Williams paint. He did not protect my furniture or floor, because he is too cheap. Stay away from this guy. He should not paint unsupervised. Use at your own risk!

Knowledgeable

Mike Carlson charged us $900 for two hours worth of work. Two hours! And he did not even bring his own ladder. He used our ladder. We paid the amount because we had agreed to do so. But if you are looking for fair value...

Mike was able to fit us in his schedule to paint our kitchen cabinets. He showed up when he said he would and completed the work in 3 days as promised. The cabinets came out great and we couldn t be happier. Would definitely recommend him for any painting project

He came and did the job quickly.

Mike was fantastic. He arrived right on time to quote my job and gave me a very fair price for the work. He showed up for work as planned and had the job done within a couple of hours. I was very pleased with the results and am getting ready to hire him for another job I need done within the next month or so. I highly recommend Mike. He is very friendly and professional and I really enjoyed doing business with him!

Ive been cleaning up splatter spots for weeks. Left a mess for me to clean up. Do not make the same mistake that I did and hire a licensed professional.

Quality work from nice guy. Great value

I had a very small job - the painting of two large mirror frames. Mike worked my order into his schedule. He picked them up st my house Ann arranged to get them back to me on his day off. He was prompt and his price very reasonable. I will definitely use use his services.

This is the second time we have used Mike. He is professional and the work is first-rate! We will use him again.

Mike is a very personable professional and did a very good job painting the front door on my house and the trim, and then painted the cement barrier all around the base of the house. Not a big job but I am very pleased with the outcome. I will call on him soon to paint the wooden fascia board all around the house. I want the whole house to be painted, one step at a time. So thank you Mike!
