Needed my septic tank replaced after another company did the inspection and said it was in good shape, just had a cracked lid and one valve needed replacement. I bought the house and moved in, the next day the toilets were backing up. I called and spoke to Mary who was very patient and kind, and she got a truck out the next day to pump the tank. David came out and showed me the tank was in fact crumbling, which the other company somehow â missed,â and after pumping showed me that it had a huge crack along the side. I was a little overwhelmed being a first time homeowner, who also never had septic before, and who was also juggling foundation repairs and other things, but David was amazing. He was so patient, went over the process and timeline, how to get a permit from the county, when theyâ d be able to schedule the replacement, and answered every single one of my questions. I got the permit and then had to go back and forth a couple times on the schedule â mostly on my end trying to get the foundation work out of the way first â and during this time I also spoke with Alex and Peter via phone and text. They were both great also â friendly, knew who I was immediately when I said my name or the address, both very prompt about follow up when needed. I put it together later on that Peter is actually the owner as well. The two guys who came out to actually replace the tank were also great. I only got one of their names, Gage, I think, but both were friendly, polite, hardworking, and they had everything set up and working in no time. The inspector had them add a distribution box they werenâ t expecting (because she also had them move the new tank further away from the house than the old one had been) but they took it in stride and figured it out without charging me any extra than what weâ d already agreed upon. Overall, because of their quality work, I donâ t think Iâ ll need this company again for a while, but Iâ m not calling anyone else for my septic needs ever, I can tell you that.

When I called Carolina Septic Pro I didn't really know what was going on with my septic I just had a few concerns. The lady on the phone was very insightful and answered all of my questions and was able to put me on the schedule for the next day. When Little Louie and Duck came out, they were instantly able to identify exactly what the problem was and explained it to my husband and I in the easiest way for us to understand. They were honest, friendly, and professional. They are an incredible duo and I would absolutely hire these two again. I highly recommend them to anyone who is needed a pump our or line clearing. Excellent service for the price!

Travis came out and was professional and very considerate of my garden area. He did no damage to a small pond in the area. We requested a riser to be put in and he was to return the next day to complete. That is where the problem started. My husband was standing next to him when it was scheduled. When I called the office in the afternoon I was told it was not on the schedule. Next day he was tied up so I was promised next day first appt. So on 3rd day I called office and was told I was first appt. When no one had arrived by 11:30,my husband filled in the hole himself. Both of the sidewalks were piled with dirt and rain was in the forecast. Travis did come about 1:30 but we were done. Great service by him. Very poor scheduling by the office!

Quality of work excellent. Left yard rutted. Didn't reseed one section of my lawn. I don't think the workers had been taught how to level a yard. I also think they did not have the proper equipment to level the yard either.

This was the worst experience I have ever had with a company. They pumped my tank & replaced my septic pump but after a day I had the same problem water coming up in my fill area. I called them back and had over 6 or 7 appointments that were "no show or call" One was even supposed to be with the owner. After a couple months of calling they did come back and make some repairs to the lines in the fill area. But they used the wrong the coupling and it separated causing a major leak. But here is the part I couldn't believe. I hard another company to come out, They found that one of the new valves that Septic Pro supposedly installed was only buried and covered by a valve box.. It was not connected to anything. This was intentional !!!

I would recommend Carolina Septic Pro service 10 out of 10 times. They were on time and pumped my septic in under an hour. They initially quoted me on a 1500 gallon tank at first because I thought it was 1500 gallon tank. As they were pumping they realized it was a 1000 gallon tank and adjusted the price accordingly. They also performed other preventive maintenance on the tank without up-charge Outstanding 5 star service!!!

After a medium rain and a malfunctioning washing machine causing my yard to flood, I hired Carolina Septic Pro to come pump out my tank and check my drain field (I knew it needed to be pumped based on an inspection I had when purchasing the house). Gage arrived a few minutes earlier than my scheduled window, ready to go to work. He took a look at the flooded area, checked my leach field, and made sure everything was working properly (the malfunctioning washing machine was the culprit on the flooding...pumping out an extra couple hundred gallons of water after an overnight rain is apparently not advisable.. ha.) Gage was gracious enough to fill me in on how LPP systems work, what I need to do to avoid hydraulic overloading the fields in the future, and what type of recurring maintenance I need on my system to make sure it lasts. They sent me pictures of the tank before and after service as proof that they completed their service, and back-filled the area they had to dig up. He also provided a quote to have my septic tank replaced and a new control panel installed, as my concrete tank has a crack across the top. I was very happy with the service and the level of knowledge Gage possessed on the system and plan on using CSP in the future for replacement of my tank and any maintenance that needs to be done.

Septic Tank Cleaning or Pump Out
$450
On 11/6/19 Carolina Septic Pro was hired to pump my Septic tank. upon looking at the tank, the person said that the tank was over full and needed extra pump service. The initial quote of $300 would now be $450. After about 25 minutes of working they were done. They collected their $450 and left. On 1/9/20 (2 months later), my HOA did their semi annual inspection on my tank through the company they use. They found that the tank needed to be pumped. At first I questioned this as i spent $450 only 2 months prior to have it pumped...EXTRA. They offered to come out and re-inspect free of charge while i watched and saw the levels. They were very good at explaining where the level should be and where they should have been. It was indeed still above levels. When i contacted Carolina Septic Pro i was sent to an answering service where i left a very distinct message that i wanted my money back immediately. The next day a woman called me and i explained the situation. I sent her the report, so she could verify that this was indeed the case. I received a call from Pete who was extremely combative and arrogant in approach. I explained to him that the crew that came to my house did not perform the work that was paid for. He became adolescent in tone and as well as demeaning and aggressive. He stated that he would not refund my money as they did perform the service. They may have motioned to perform the service but absolutely didnt. Pete never made an attempt to come to inspect the claim or send anyone on his behalf. I reviewed his company online and he then began to bombard my cellphone with text messages further mocking my complaint. i called the business again on 1/31/20 to further pursue my refund. I spoke with a lovely woman who was appalled after i explained my experience at peters demeanor towards me. I explained that all i wanted was a refund so that I could actually get the work properly done. She assured that she would discuss this with Peter. After further speaking with her, I found out that she was his Mom. She was obviously embarrassed that her son would treat a customer in that manner. I thanked her for her help. I received a call 30 minutes later from a private number and was again attacked verbally by Peter. He made threats and hung up on me. The text messages in the past were abrasive and demeaning, but calling my home to threaten me, crossed the line. This company should NOT be a part of any accreditation class. They are thieves and bully s to those that catch them in their scam. They did not do what they said they would and then badgered me when confronted with it. Not once did they offer to even check on the situation

"Hi Steve! Thanks for copying and pasting this review from the 10 other reviews you have made about us. Much appreciated. We also appreciate your unwarranted rhetorics about the company. I am pretty certain that you have copied and pasted into the -7 other companies that you have publicly slammed because anytime you have to spend money like every other hard working American you go postal and try to slam professional companies. Lets also ignore the fact that you skip traced this company in your spare time and made threats against the owners mother making her extremely uncomfortable and upset. I am sorry you have nothing better to do with your time."

Do NOT call unless you are 100% sure you know where your tank is located. I paid $150 for them to tell me it couldn't be where I thought it was and to call a plumber to locate it! I was told it would be deducted from my next visit but when I called to schedule them to come back after I found out it was where I thought, I was told that I would have to pay the full amount again! Too bad I have to give a star. The service guy was nice but company did not back him up!
Response from Carolina Septic Pro
"Karen, you added an addition to you’re home illegally without pulling a permit from the county. It is not our fault we could not locate the septic tank because it was covered by a patio. We don’t offer camera locates because we deal with waste water systems. A camera is not beneficial if you can’t see through human waste. We also advise a service fee full disclosure prior to appointment. Driving city to city with a large pump truck wasting time and fuel is bad business. Sorry you left a false review. Wish you well - Anthony Vinci"

I was quoted a maximum of $500 to pump out the septic tank. Once they started they said the system was clogged. The total cost to pump out and unclog it using chemicals was $2450. I was not surprised because the system was old and had never been pumped out. I also added risers to the tank so that next time they will not have to dig up my yard. That cost $400. There is no way that I could have verified whether the system was clogged or not by myself. However, I could see that the tank was full and considering the age of the system, it seemed quite plausible. Homeowners are pretty much at the mercy of these companies when they make claims like that. I had done research through Home Advisors, Angieslist and BBB. I also talked to the owner before hiring them. Their reviews are good. I have a neighbor who used a different company. When I checked that other company out, I found about a dozen major complaints on them and they were not on HomeAdvisors list of companies. Morale of story is to do your research and pick a company with a good reputation. That is why I chose Carolina Septic Pro.

Mr. Keller was quite efficient in finding our tank (which we were WAY off describing its location!!!!), showing us the issue, and making further recommendations. We also discovered an issue with one of our drainage distribution accesses. The company will be back sometime this week to make the repair. VERY please with the professionalism and sharing of knowledge to prevent further problems.
