Carolina's Home Repair

Had a few exterior issues wind damage related: facia board covers loose, two shutters loose, and a clogged vent cover. Took close to 2 hrs, $9 of materials, and $630 labor! Did not repair a soffit vent I asked to fix (perhaps didn't want to expend time going to the store to get a replacement?). The work performed appeared acceptable (no ladder to get close to inspect). I have another project but I'm not going to call them because of the random pricing for the labor. I am taking the time to post this review because I think the company should know why they are not getting repeat customers.

It was my lucky day when I came across Carolina's Home Repair on a Saturday. By Sunday morning at 6:30 am I had a text message from Jay. He came out the following Tuesday. He would of arrived sooner if not for the rain. I had called several roof companies and even my roof installer for help covering two raccoon holes and a roof leak. Jay showed up and went to work providing pictures and texts through the entire process. I have never experienced a service provider with such quick and prompt service as Jay! We compiled a list of other wood repairs to be done in a week or so. If you are looking for a repair man that returns tests, messages and actually shows up, then call Jay!!!!

Jay very prompt and finished the job quickly. He kept me posted on how the job was progressing. Would recommend him for anyone looking for fence work to be done.

Jay was great! He was on time, constantly kept me updated and did a great job. I had fascia repairs that needed to be done. My home is two stories and it was no problem for him at all. He also repaired some siding that I had dislodged previously and didn't have the equipment to put it back in place. All in all, just great work and the guy is someone I would definately call on again.

We couldn't have been happier with Jay's work! We had a long list of repair items, large and small, and he went above and beyond to complete them all for us. He is hard working and dependable. We will definitely use him for any future needs and highly recommend him to others!

Jay was hired to replace some board on my deck and replace lattice surrounding deck and porch. He knows his business and did a very nice job.

Jay was hired to replace rotted wood eves and soffit boards on some very high locations. The man knows his way around a ladder. He also reflashed where necessary. He also replaced rotted deck wood, cleaned and restained. The job was immaculate with no stain where it didn't belong. He also successfully replaced the weather stripping on a large front door that required careful heavy door removal in order to avoid damage. Jay made recommendations and repairs that actually corrected original poor construction that caused my problems to begin with. Jay was timely, consistently communicated with me throughout the projects, was always prompt and his attention to detail and the quality of his work was outstanding. Jay provided me with the best home repairs services that I've ever received.

I hired Jay to repair some rotted wood, remove a chain link fence and clean and stain a small wood deck. All his work was completed on time and at the expense he quoted. He is very responsive, proactively makes suggestions and is very easy to work with. The quality was outstanding. I highly recommend him.

Jay was excellent to work with. I hired him to make several structural repairs on an older deck that also needed to be cleaned and stained. I called Jay for a quote during the late afternoon and he came out the very next morning. He was punctual and took the time to explain several different options to determine the best way to go about the project. This was a huge help in making sure I got exactly what I wanted and was satisfied with the finished product. The craftsmanship was excellent and my deck looks great! Jay brings craftsmanship to the job at hand. Jay is prompt and works until the day is done. He informs you at those moments he feels the customer should be informed about something he finds. He gets feedback from the owner before continuing. He is proud of his work and doesn't finish until the customer is satisfied. If I could give him 10 stars I would!! I would absolutely recommend him to anyone wanting a job that is done right! he did a yeoman's job on my project.He completely resided my chimney on all 4 sides and resided many planks of siding on the sides of my house mot to mention many corner boards and outside window sides. It took him several weeks to complete, and when he completed the project my house looked like it did when new. Hire him with confidence!!!!!

We love Jay's work! Hire hime with no doubt! We hired Jay to replace some damaged siding on our chimney as well as to repair our gutters. Of the 3 professionals we asked to come out to give us a quote, he was the only one who came the next day, and follow-up with myself and my husband. His communication was excellent, and timeframe was well respected. The job took slightly longer than expected only because the damage was more extensive than anticipated, but Jay constantly kept us up to date as to what was going on, what needed to be done and what we could do. He was extremely meticulous in his work and it was very obvious that he took pride in what he does. Price seems pretty reasonable for the quality and speed of the work. In summary Excellent!. I contacted the company at around 12:30 today. I got a call back at around 1 PM and by 3 PM of the same day the job was finished. I give an A+ to this pro. I highly recommend this company

Very responsive and timely in cleaning/repairing gutters and gutter guards.

Jay really helped me out with my aging and rotted wood siding. It had a host of problems and Jay was the only contact that I could take seriously after meeting with him. I just needed the worst parts handled while I continue to save for vinyl siding. Jay worked with me and listened to my goals for the project and he kept me informed at every step, so the only surprises I had were how well he worked and his attention to detail. He really goes the extra mile and my home is much better for it. I still have a few small projects that need to be done soon and I'm calling CHR first. Highly recommended.

This repair was on the skylight that was leaking. It was in an awkward place. With the slop of the yard and the basement, it was about 4 stories high and at very steep roof pitch. The repair was very successful. No more leaks ! I am hiring Carolina's Home repair to fix another issue we are having. Jay is kind, courteous and knows his stuff !
