Carpet Man

I hired him to clean upholstery on some of my furniture and as well as the carpets in my home. Since Angie had recommended him, I thought he would be good. The first item he started to clean was an expensive floor rug in my family room. I noticed he had old equipment and when he was done steam cleaning my expensive rug, I noticed there were large puddles of water surround my rug that was lying on my natural wood floor. When I asked him about why it was so wet, and if he was he going to clean it u, he claimed it would dry out by the next morning. He then moved on to another section of my home, and wasn't going to clean up the water he left on my new wooden flooring. When I asked him about it, he took offense and began yelling at me. He then told me he was quitting the job, and that I owed him half of what we agreed too. I paid him the $250 he said I owed him, and he then said that I should never call Angie or him again. You can be sure I never will !!

He was really good and he actually cleaned it.

He was a sweet guy, he did his best to clean up after he left. We were satisfied with his work. He was clean, and professional.

Ben did a great job. When we spoke on the phone, he explained the process, and we scheduled a time a time and he arrived on time, and he took care of everything that I needed done.

I hired Carpet Masters through Angi, and the experience was truly horrifying. Ben T arrived on 9/26, and I paid him the agreed-upon amount plus a tip when he arrived. He was contracted to spot-treat and steam clean my stairs, hallway, and master bedroom. He skipped the spot treatment and rushed through the job. I was wearing slides when I checked the work he did, and I mentioned that it really didn't look clean. He gripped me, What do you think I cut corners? I honestly don't think he cleaned anything upstairs, to be honest. After he left, I found a large puddle of water downstairs that was from his machine. I cleaned it up, then discovered the staircase was so saturated that water pooled around my feet with every step. Despite 5 fans blowing for 24 hrs, and large beach towels sopping up the water, the carpets developed a strong mildew smell that spread through the entire house the very next day. The odor was so bad that my children had to stay with friends. When I called him back, he resisted returning, then agreed to come on 9/29. His solution was to spray deodorizer instead of fixing the problem. He went out to get the deodorizer, and my husband said to me You can't just spray deodorizer on mold. My husband stated that the stairs needed to be properly cleaned first, but Ben claimed it was the carpet's fault. When pressed, he became verbally abusive to me and, after being asked to leave by my husband over the speaker phone, he called me a f***ing whore. To my face, then sped off. The incident left me shaken. I stopped payment on the check (at a $35 fee). While I was on the phone with the bank, Ben repeatedly called me over and over. After taking some time to calm down, I noticed he texted me, Sorry, it's the carpet guy. I won't cash your check. A little research on Yelp revealed that there are dozens of online complaints about him personally, which I should have checked before, but I trusted Angi to properly vet its contractors. I strongly urge Angi to investigate Ben Timmons, remove him from the platform, and reevaluate the vetting process. This type of abusive, negligent, and unsafe behavior should never be allowed under Angi's name.

Ben was Excellent! We contacted him based on Angie’s recommendation, he booked our appointment and he cleaned our carpets today. Very nice man with excellent work ethic. He addressed some stains and our carpets look brand new. We would definitely recommend the Carpet Man!

He was nice and my carpets were not in the best condition, which I understood. However, it was discussed to do the cleaning with the least amount of drying time because I had a sick person and elderly person in my home. They needed to be able to still operate within the parameters of the home. It took 3 days for my carpets to fully dry. Some areas were so wet, it was not ok. The equipment used appeared to be outdated and he left water on the laminate floor that someone could have slipped in. I will not ever use the Carpet Man again.

All was done as expected.

They did a fantastic job on a very stained carpet. Showed up on time and were very professional. Highly recommend.

Ben is very professional and courteous. He helped me with pieces of furniture I couldn't move easily. The area rugs and 2 club chairs were beautifully cleaned. I am very happy with his work.
