I put the request out to six computer repair companies. Only two replied, both very promptly. Carter Computer Solutions evaluated my broken laptop within 24 hrs and provided best options. Unfortunately, and as i feared, the laptop damage was not repairable. They saved all the data files to a USB thumb drive and returned that drive plus the hard drive, which gave me the confidence that I was in control of my files and identity. All of this happened from start to finish in a few days. Extremely happy with the expertise, responsiveness and speed of service. Even though I have two brothers in IT, I have found my guy when any kind of computer help is needed ... and fast!
