Paul Castro is the American Dream come true. Paul immigrated from Peru with his family in 2001 to pursue a stable and family oriented lifestyle that Peru’s declining economy could no longer provide. He learned English and entered into the electrical trade at Thomas Edison Technical School. Paul excelled with electrical work and quickly became the youngest master electrician certified in the state of Maryland. He started his own company in 2011, and has been known as a rising star in the electrical and home improvement industry in the DMV. Paul’s devotion to quality and focus on customer service has put his company on the map and makes Castro Electrical Services different from the competition, as a business that is very diversified and up-to-date on the most recent trends and regulations.

Hired to change switches to dimmers and motion sensor, move two outlets to mount TVs and repair power to doorbell camera. Electrician was late both days. He spent an absorbent amount of time "troubleshooting"only not to repair the doorbell camera power or supply power to one of the outlets he relocated. I was promised a refund for troubleshooting since he wasn't able to fix it. About two weeks went by without the refund. Someone finally called Four days ago with an amount $70 less than what I was promised. She said she would confirm and call back. I have yet to receive a call. After the "troubleshooting", I'm faced with a flooded basement as the power to the sump pump somehow was lost. So, what should have been a $350 electrical project is now costing me over $7,500 in water damages to cleanup and restore. Potential clients beware.

Paul and his team at Castro were great. They were able to promptly schedule a visit, provided an estimate later the same day, and were able to complete the work the following week. They did a variety of tasks for me, including installing recessed lighting, rewiring and relocating switches, and installing garage lighting.

Everything was professionally done and it was very quick. I just wish he could have fixed the drywall on the ceiling. Now I have to hire someone separate for that.

Very professional and courteous. Exceptional service. Carl was fantastic. He explained our new security lightening so we had a better understanding of how it all worked. Will definitely use Castro again. Very pleased!
