They waited until night before project start date to get contract signed. Verbal & written contract stated NO MONEY DUE until project was completed. Halfway thru on day 4 they wanted all the money. Owner said he was going out of town to North Carolina and needed all the money. We gave them 3/4 of the money as job was not done. It was a bad rain storm, told him to hold off on tree stumps being removed to not tear up our yard. They went ahead anyhow. While hired to do work on our property on our time...they went next door to neighbor's and did a side job for cash and no city permit obtained for the side job. They moved logs for the neighbor, spread a large pile of gravel out in their driveway and removed a railroad tie they broke, for the neighbor, then graded dirt down to try to hide the work they did. This job caused a flood of our driveway and severe mud that took a week to dry out snd we had to shovel mud for 5 days. An issue with neighbor on who owns railroad ties, left them not eligible to be removed. Contractor didn't want to refund or remove that from bill. Therefore we sought legal advice, wss told to make them do a supplement or addendum to contract, since we were being charged for services not complete. After explaining this to contractor, supplement was done and an additional partial payment made. Final payment not made due to work still not completed as agreed. Utilities not capped off, not marked. The neighbor witnessed, our Above ground Sewer vent line was backed over top of and broken, buried not capped not marked. Water line was bent over and buried....it was leaking when found a week later. They left large pieces of debris everywhere, 4 tires, piece of large concrete. Had to demand these items be put in the addendum to correct, also agreed on a piece of asphalt be removed that was originally supposed to be out that wasn't. We had to pick up 11 (33 gallon ) bags full of debris, wood, shingles, metal, and glass from the trailer demolition. There is still a mess of concrete and debris to pick up from garage demolition. Saturday 9-12-20 we found that they still lied to us...did not remove the large, heavy cylindrical concrete they dug up...they threw it in the dried up creek bed behind our lot on our property. Owner not prompt to return calls or messages. My husband tried to resch him for over a week, to come out and mark the utilities he claimed to capped off, since he buried all if them and NONE were marked. He showed up on 9-11-20 with a can of spray paint, 2 weeks after the job to mark one item, the sewer that he backed over. We are left with a mess to clean up, have to hire another contractor to find all the utilities and fix the damaged water and sewer lines. The sewer clean out was not capped, left open and dirt has gotten inside of it now as it was buried also. Yard torn up from tree removal in a rain storm. DNR issue now as they placed debris items in a natural creek bed. We are not paying final payment and have sought an attorney again. USE at your own judgement...we will not hire them again.
