Although there was some rework required, the installation of the motor went fairly seamlessly. However, the actual problem that led me to request service remains. My original service request was to address an issue with the garage door that was resulting in water in my garage following heavy rains. That issue was neither resolved, nor the solution effectively communicated. Somehow, the pro focused on the optional job - replacing the motor - after the issue with the water was addressed. Once I discovered that the primary issue was not resolved, I asked him why. He never explained that the issue he uncovered was one that he couldnâ t fix, instead, he recommended that I return to the company that from his perspective, improperly installed the door. My original was not for a company to to give me an assessment of the issue without solving, but to solve this issue. Imagine my frustration and disappointment to be told that I needed to go back to another company, but Iâ ve paid more then $400 on an optional service. It is also noteworthy that the original motor that was replaced was purchased in May 2021, so the pro did not leave a fairly new motor for me to return to Home Depot, or potentially resale. I have zero clue how this experience turned so terribly wrong, but having had this experience, I would not recommend this company.

Not only did they reach out promptly (within 5 minutes of me submitting my request on Angi), Cavalier made it out to my house in just a couple hours and fixed the issue in minutes. Prompt, honest, fair, and friendly—I’d recommend them to anyone having garage door issues. Because of their service, I’m almost not worried about the next time my wife backs into the garage door. Almost. 10/10. Would recommend.
