Cenco Building Services, LLC, only sends licensed adjusters out into the field to work with customers. We assess damage like claims adjusters, roofing salesmen. Our field team has decades of proven experience and we extend that expertise to each and every one of our customers. When it is time to build, we back that experience with superior products installed by trained and professional crews. These measures allow us to provide seamless roofing, restoration, and remodeling services while building long-term relationships.

Repair an Asphalt Shingle Roof

Cenco Roofing did an amazing job. We had a repair on our roof that needed to be fixed before we could sell our home. The install professional we worked with Taylor Kent, was courteous professional and reliable. He was able to repair our roof efficiently and was very affordable. The service was very genuine. I did not feel like I was being up-sold and would definitely use again for project in the future.

Inspect a Home

We called Cenco when we didn't know who else could give us honest feedback. We were stuck between our insurance company and FEMA when our house got destroyed from flooding. Matt came out, did a full inspection with support videos and photos and helped us to better understand the steps and pitfalls of the claims and reconstruction process. We ended up having to tear down the entire house and rebuild it! Cenco's solid recommendations gave us a road map when we did hire a general contractor to complete the work. I sure hope we never have to go through that again, but if we do, I will surely reach out to the pros at Cenco for guidance!

Install or Repair a Roof

I recently purchased a home at the end of 2019. I called Cenco when we were concerned about hail damage on our new home since it was built in the 1950s. Cenco came out, did a full inspection with videos they showed us and were honest with the roofâ s condition. Although the roof is not new, nothing needed to be done at the time. No charge for the inspection, and it gave me peace of mind that our new home was still in good condition. I appreciated the honest and transparent feedback; and will definitely call Cenco if we have any roof issued in the future!

Criminal Background Check

Who does HomeAdvisor background check?

The owner or principal of each business in HomeAdvisor's network (with the exception of Corporate Accounts) must pass a background check. Unfortunately, we cannot perform a background check on every employee of a business—the background checks are performed only on the owner or principal. As always, we recommend that you conduct your own research on the businesses you hire, including making inquiries directly with the businesses regarding their employee background check policies.

What does the background check cover?

We use a third-party vendor to conduct a criminal records search in the state in which the business owner or principal works. Our third-party vendor uses a national criminal database ("NCD") to screen service professionals. Businesses will not be admitted to the network if their owners or principals have the following felonies in their available criminal records*:

Arson

Assault/domestic violence/battery

Child abuse

Intimidation/terrorist threats

Kidnapping/abduction

Lewd and lascivious behavior

Manslaughter/murder/homicide/vehicular homicide

Rape/incest

Robbery/carjacking

Sex offenses

Other felonies not listed above that occurred in the past seven years

Contracting without a license in the past seven years

Our background check does not exclude service professionals unless the crime at issue is a felony.

*The comprehensiveness of the NCD varies by state. Please be aware that the reporting in the NCD is particularly limited in the following states: AL, CO, DE, GA, ID, IL, KS, LA, ME, MA, MI, MS, MT, NE, NV, NH, NM, SD, UT, VA, VT, and WY. After initial admission to the HomeAdvisor network, businesses are re-screened biennially.

How is COVID-19 impacting the HomeAdvisor background check program?

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, several government agencies and courts across the country have temporarily closed their offices. While HomeAdvisor will continue its background check program to the extent possible, these closures could prevent some background checks from being performed. Please be advised that, during this period, if we could not perform a background check, HomeAdvisor will allow the business into the network and match the business to consumers. As affected government agencies and courts begin to re-open, we will resume our program in those jurisdictions. As always, we encourage consumers to perform their own research, to the extent possible, before hiring any business.

Licensing

We verify any applicable state-level licenses, and we require every business to attest that they carry the appropriate local licensing to practice their trade. Please note that HomeAdvisor does not confirm local licensing. Do your own research using online ratings, reviews and through phone interviews before hiring a company.

Corporate Accounts

Some businesses are employees, franchisees, dealers or independent contractors ("Corporate SP's") of larger national or "Corporate Accounts". When this is the case, we may match you with the Corporate Account or with one of their Corporate businesses. The above screening process does not apply to Corporate Accounts, as HomeAdvisor does not screen Corporate Accounts or Corporate businesses.

Verify Trade License HomeAdvisor checks to see if the business carries the appropriate state-level license. Verify Insurance As a part of our screening process, we encourage professionals to carry general liability insurance. We require coverage for hundreds of services. Verification of State Business Filings For business types that require a Secretary of State filing, we confirm that the business is in good standing in the state in which it is located. Criminal Records Search HomeAdvisor uses 3rd party data sources to conduct a criminal search for any relevant criminal activity associated with the owner/principal of the business. Sex Offender Search We confirm that the owner/principal is not listed on the official state Sex Offender web site in the state in which the owner/principal of the company is located. Bankruptcy Search We use 3rd party data sources to check the history of the principal/owner of the business for bankruptcy filings by or against them. Legal Search for Civil Judgments We use 3rd party data sources to check the principal/owner of the business for state level civil legal judgments entered against them. Liens Search We use 3rd party data sources to check the principal/owner of the business for liens placed against them. Identity Verification (SSN) HomeAdvisor verifies the social security number(s) of the owner/principal for identity check purposes. This check applies primarily to smaller business entities. Identity Verification (Reverse Phone Lookup) We conduct a reverse business phone lookup to identify records matching the phone number information provided by the business.
