Century Security, LLC

Use this company at your own risk. I hired them (2019) to install cameras and activate my alarm system. The technicians that showed up were sloppy and unprofessional. They destroyed acoustic ceiling panels in my basement. I had to hire a carpenter to replace them. Left a mess where ever they worked. Ruined outside dining with adhesive. Had no ladders and used mine. The left cables are unsecured in the garage. The job was not finished per the contract. I was informed after the fact the smoke detectors had not been added to the surveillance. I wanted my driveway alarm replaced and was told I would not like the new unit. Somebody had come, F, to troubleshoot the job. I asked for reimbursement for the driveway alarm and was essentially told to forget it. In 2021 I noticed that my checking account was being charged 47.56 even though I had paid a yearly rate. I mentioned this to Chris Place. The charges were stopped but the 5 months of fees were never returned. When I asked I was told that someone was supposed to send me a check. In 2022 I had a problem with the monitor for the cameras. Chris Place showed up but was not able to fix it. It was hooked into my phone jack. When I checked the phone the next morning it was dead. After removing the panel I found that the wires were cut. I called several electricians for a repair but no one wanted to touch the job. I called Chris Place for a repair since my motion detectors and door were causing a fault and he said he would come the following week. He never followed up. I called on 02/09/2023 and told him I was done with his company and listed the reasons why. He denied everything. I had someone come and look at the system. He said the wiring was a mess and my carbon monoxide detectors were not integrated into the system. I still need my phone line repaired. Century Security is still charging me 47.65/month. My bank is handling the dispute. I have filed a complaint with BBB and CT Consumer Protection.

my wife and i are very serious about protecting our family during these uncertain times we review 4 quotes from companies because we wanted the best protection for our 2 little girls and ourselves , and Centiry Security saved us an enormous amount of money and gave us the best security we found , they really care about our family

i choose century security llc after i looked at 3 other company's to secure our home , not only did i save money , not only did i save money it was a lot of money i saved over half of what the other companies were charging and i received more protection and a much better system then any of the other companies were offering , thank you angie lists for introducing my family to Century Security

I will change my review from the previous one as Chris has turned my frowns into a smile. Chris has since fixed all the previous deficiencies, he has now make every single effort to address all my concerns no matter which day of the week. I will now say punctuality and customer has become the fore front and I am politely pleased. As long as he remains committed and the great service continues I will give them my recommendation.

Personable - explained everything and very competent

I think the technician should walk the customer through the equipment. He just installed the equipment and left even now I do not get it. Update:05/27/2021 The technician was on time and walked me and my husband. He knows how to operate the cameras.

The quality of the camaras are really great I love it

Had an existing system but it still took Chris 3 different visits to complete the work. Also, never came when originally had the appointment. And now police and fire just arrived for no reason after Chris completed work. UPDATE 3/26/2021: This has been a nightmare. Have come out 5 times to update and hook up to monitoring. Job still not complete. Sends false alarm out every time it is armed, does not arrive on time or shows for an appointment to try and fix. Chris is very polite and friendly but cannot seem to get the job done or to fix problems. So aggravating.

We are extremely happy with the service. We installed the alarm system with ni additional cost to us. No hidden fees which ADT is notorious for that. I definately would reccomend them to a friend.

I have had many problems with the products and cameras installed and they have never fixed any of them. During installation Chris made many excuses and delays. I would never hire them again
