Response by CertaPro Painters of Pittsburgh East: Not sure what the issue is here with this project as we completed the project with no issues. There were some surface repairs that we were to do that the homeowner ended up doing themselves. We then had to work with what was done with the repairs as were not done as well as it could have been. No feedback from customer directly. Painted areas as per proposal and all went well. Feel rating is not valid to the work we did provide. Feel customer felt we should have done more with the repairs, but did all we could after what was done. Did not want to take everything apart as would not get paid to do the work correctly.

Avoid these painters. They were not professionals. I have no clean lines between the ceilings and walls. They forgot to do a 2nd coat in many large areas. Most of the cut-ins only received 1 coat. I have paint on my carpets, ceiling splatter on the walls. Also, they kept getting the colors mixed up and putting the wrong colors in the wrong places causing days of re-work. It took them much longer than expected because they claimed they had to do so much taping, but none of the lines are straight! I am not sure what function the tape had. They are very sloppy and careless. The owner kept offering to send them back and fix the issues, but every time they came back they made it worse, this was obviously above their skill level. I had to finally just say stop and I got another professional to come in and fix everything properly.

Jarod's info is correct for the most part and the crew attempted to correct the issues, but they claim there was some mid-direction on colors and applications. We do send the original crew back to make the corrections to any issues as its their responsibility to do the project correctly. When Jarod was still not satisfied, I offered to send a different crew, but he said the job was good and didn't want another crew. Sorry to hear he then called in another company. We stand behind our projects and this is a rare occurrence and I apologize we did not meet his expectations. We do quite a number of projects through the year and fortunately, these issues are rare.

Communication was lacking. We had to keep emailing to find out what was happening. I'm sure they have some type of schedule and approximate date would have been helpful. Since you have to be home when they are there you can't put your life on hold till they decide to come. Sales rep. did not come to see the progress of the job. The painters were very nice. Had us go over job to see if there was anything that needed cleaned up or was missed. I would use again. Good job by the painters.

Very bad experience. Poor qualty. Regret hiring them. We were left with a mess--the job looked better before they came. Definitely would not recommend them to anyone.

They did a very good job staining my T-111 siding. All details of the work was explained well ahead of time. Painting was neat and cleanup was thorough. My expectations were met. I would use again.
