I chose CertaPro floors and painting for this garage project because they were able to coordinate the two jobs close to each other so that I only had to move items out of my garage one time. Both projects were done on time and with very good results. The company was easy to work with, the workers were very attentive to the project and my questions. It was simple enough. In late May of 2021, sales rep Mike Vasser came to my house for an estimate. Mike seemed like a nice guy, the type of guy I wanted to do business with. On May 29, 2021, he proved a very professional but shocking quote of $1,108.00 to paint a hallway, a stairwell an one garage wall with extra charges for some minor drywall touchup. On June 2, I submitted a $300.00 deposit via their web site. For the next six weeks, I heard nothing from them. I was forced to contact them instead. The painting was eventually scheduled for Monday, July 19, over 6 weeks later. The painter arrived in a timely fashion on the 19th. While I was at work, the painter texted to report that he could not get the paint to stick to certain areas of the garage wall and that it was bubbling up. He consulted CertaPro production associate Erik Pfarrer. A short time later, I got a call from Erik. He explained that the root cause of the bubbling bubbling paint was a moister issue between the living room wall and the garage wall. He went on to explain that I would have to replace the drywall in the garage. I resigned myself to the need to have the drywall replaced. When I arrived at my house, I noticed that the pealing paint was still present on the garage wall and that there were paint splatters all over the front part of my concrete garage floor. Skeptical, I cut off some of the pealing paint and proceeded to use the leftover paint and my own painting technique to paint the pealing areas. To my astonishment, the paint stuck to the wall. I spent the next hour repainting the affected areas of the wall with the paint sticking to the wall in all instances. Then, I went inside. I spent the next 45 minutes cleaning paint spatters from hallway doors and trim. I called Mike and asked for a reduction in the final bill given these events. His stance was that technically, his painter painted everything he was contracted to paint. At that point, he washed his hands of the entire episode.

When they re-did a damaged ceiling in one of the rooms there was so much dust that it was everywhere, inside all the stove parts, etc. When they did another room they did not even take off the outlet covers, or take down the light fixtures. They are cooperative in doing, just too bad the workmanship is not there.

Because my husband told the sales rep that we were in a hurry to get our new home's rooms painted, he made some calls and found a two man crew that would be available soon. Dan & his son started our project the next Saturday and asked if it was okay to work on Sunday too. We said sure. But they did not finish by the end of Saturday. Dan had another project that started on Monday, so he took his son to that job and came back to our job on Monday. The job still wasn't finished Monday evening. So on Tuesday Dan brought both his sons to paint with him. They were anxious to get it done that day. Dan was a very experienced professional painter, but of course his sons were not quite at his skill level. All and all, we do love our paint job! I think the sales rep gave Dan the impression that our job would only take two days to finish. It of course did not.

We hired CertrPro, they took our deposit and proceeded to never call and schedule the painting of our gazebo. So it's difficult to rate a no show that also took our money.

We had to call a manager to get the job completed in the end. We paid for two coats of paint and two coats had clearly not been done when the paint crew said it had. Had we not questioned the work, we don't think it would have been completed. After our call, the manager visited our house and agreed that the job was not satisfactory. The painters returned and apparently completed the second coat. The manager did return for a second visit to see if we were satisfied.

The painters left things undone the back of 1 door,left drip marks on woodwork. The sales rep was supposed to assist with color consultation did a horrible job we had to repaint 1 room because the color was all wrong and the woodwork had to be repainted (by my husband) because it was also mismatched to the framing of our windows. When i repeatedly tried to contact our sales rep to get follow-up service he would take his time getting back to us. It was a really bad experience and we paid almost $4000.00 definitely not worth the money! Would not recommend! Felt ripped off!

They did an awesome job for us from our first meeting with the sales rep to the painters. Friendly, courteous, and all came to the job on time. We had issues with reattaching one of the shutters and they did a great job with the repair. Thanks for a job well done.

Great guys if it is painting project only. if you need any exterior carpenting work, get it done before. Certapro are painting oriented and not great project managers beyond that - they made up for that by being customer focussed and did their best in getting it done with the 3rd party contractor.
