Very dissatisfied. The owner came out in late July, was given free reign to provide estimate, and the parameters were set describing what we wanted. There was no time frame given, and took about an hour and a half to look at everything for estimate. We asked a couple of questions and he asked us to commit and sign an agreement. We did ask for more time to consider, and after we did get some comparative estimates and decided to go with Jonathan Davis Certa Pro. I paid a deposit, and because this is a rental property for me, I did assure him that the home would be empty of furnishings, and he said that would lower the time frame and total cost. Stated he had a great worker to come in and complete in two days. We did not tell him it had to be done in two days, HE stated he could complete it in two days. He did email a few days prior to the job starting, stating that it was a tight timeline, and requested to come do some prep work ahead of time to get a head start, and this was okay since I have vacated the property. According to my knowledge, this was taken care of, but I got a call a couple of days later that he could not find the worker he intended to send, and so I asked him what contingency plan he'd have since he'd obviously need to replace him. I told him of my concerns that he couldn't offer a contingency plan, and he assured me that he'd pull workers from a different job and would get the job done the following Saturday, and that since they weren't skilled in spraying paint, but would roll it on. In our emails previous I had expressed concern about the window treatments getting overspray. He assured me that his team were trained to install window treatments and that appliances and hard wood floors would be covered. When I unexpectedly showed up, I saw that nothing was being covered by drop cloths, and there was dust and debris everywhere. He did assure me that clean up would be taken care of, and even though their proposal pledges to not park their vehicles in my driveway as well. I was very concerned about things not being taken care of the way Jonathan assured me they would, to which his response was that they were only working on one floor, etc. He expressed his concern for all the drywall work that needed to be done, when he had free reign to see all of that prior to giving me the proposal. My point was that nothing had changed on my end, but he now wanted to make changes to the proposal and timeline HE gave me. Even though we were assured the work would be done on time for my showings I had scheduled. Already several days behind, and now it's crunch time, and they won't be done in time. So, Jonathan did come in to do some clean up himself, so he must have realized how messily the work was done. Very sloppy work, with paint splatters on window treatments, outlets, hardwood floors. We eventually told him that he now has to get the job to be done right, and that we would do a walk through of the property together.
