I can't recommend CertaPro to anybody who is interested in anything but saving money. The price was right but the constant delays, missed areas of painting (didn't do two coats as outlined in the quote) and the owner's poor attitude to getting the job done and making the customer happy led me to calling corporate to get results.

They did not do what I asked I had to call on several occasions to have them fix the problems which were never completed.

Company was mis represented to me. I was led to belive that corporate employees would be doing the work. Not true. No corporate employees, all of it is sub-contracted. Was told there were Certa Pro truck that would come, did n't happen. The job itself was misrepresented, the difference between rolled method and spray method was not explained, therefore I did not get the finish on my cabinets I was anticipating. They tried to charge me a 5% fee for using my credit card which is illegal, when I told them they better take off that charge or I was not paying. The bill was $8,000 for a finish on my kitchen cabinets I did not want. No, I would never use them again, and I am sorry I hired therm.

As you can see on other reviews, we are known for taking ownership and caring deeply for our customers. Our crews all come to us with a history of painting experience. A process that is second-nature to one crew can be completely foreign to another. We have found that trying to change what has been practiced over years generally results in lower quality. While our sales team or your experience may indicate that one technique is preferably to another, we have chosen to guarantee only the result. The application process may differ slightly, but the result will be a first quality project with the number of coats and surfaces covered as contracted. In regards to the credit card payment, we do not charge customers to pay with a credit card. We offer a discount to them if they pay with cash or check. This is perfectly legal and is not in any way inappropriate. I wish that in your review that you would have complimented us for forgoing our policy to remove the discount when payment was made with a credit card. Again, we are aware that your experience was not up to par with your expectations and we would welcome another opportunity to serve you."

Would recommend CertaPro Painters without a doubt. From our initial meeting with Ernie who recommended specific paint finishes for bath, doors and bedroom walls to the efficient,clean and timely painting by Eduardo- We were impressed. Im sure we could have gone so wear for a little cheaper- but this is a A1 operation. Our bedroom and master bath are beautiful. We look forward to future painting jobs with CertaPro Painters of Novi.

Extremely happy with the professionalism of the painters. Not only did they do the painting but they also replaced rotted boards where needed. I had damaged stucco replaced & they primed/painted it, caulked where needed & matched the existing color perfectly. Dave, the lead painter, informed me each day of the progress that was done & what was left to do. Not once did they leave anything on my lawn as they cleaned up everyday. I plan on hiring them again to paint a few rooms in my home. They are amazing!!

First of all the service date got pushed and pushed. Then the painter was MIA for 2 days & the excuse I got from the owner of CertaPro was "he's my best painter. That's not like him." From that point on I knew my job was going to be a mess. My paint crew existed of 1 man who brought his 9 year old child along. One the days he did show up he worked at a snails pace for 5-6 hours. My 4 day job for a crew of 1 lasted 10 days! My paint job was only the wood trim of a vinyl sided house too! To top it off he got pain on my siding, my new windows, garage, new light fixtures, freshly stained deck and all my landscaping. The owner never once apologized, not a single I'm sorry. In my opinion, he is a complete jerk! When you mess up you need to take responsibility for your mistakes.

We told them that we wanted satin finish paint in the kitchen, but instead they used egg-shell finish, and we didn't find out until the job was done. We were given some lame excuse about a new person at the paint store. We should have made them do the whole thing over, with the paint that we had specified.

I am extremely unhappy with the results. Ryan spent a lot of time reviewing and talking with me about the project and I felt that, even though they were higher than their competitors, I would get a complete job. Then things started going down hill. Their office called and I had to repeat every detail about the job that I had given to their estimator. Then the so called CertaPro job supervisor shows up (who is really the head of a subcontract crew) and I have to repeat the same instructions to him. The crew was so concerned with completing the project in a day, that they took even opportunity to cut corners and leave me with a poor job. Paint chips left all over the ground, soffit vents painted over, exterior trims painted only on the face not the edges, sashes painted only on the face (not cut into the glazing), areas that were caulked, not recaulked, nails left sticking out that should have been set. The house has a two color scheme-white with a dark green trim. The trims were cut sloppily-many areas of overpainting and poor painting exists. Then to top off this bad job, the owner has twice agreed that the work is of poor quality but has yet to do something about fixing it. I wrote a letter to CertaPro Painters of Novi indicating my displeasure. This past Sunday they sent a couple of painters out to address my concerns with the quality of the trim work and they also cleaned my soffit vents of paint. They indicated that I had been misplaced in their active projects and that is the reason for the delay. I'm still not entirely satisfied with the work but at least they took steps to resolve two of the major concerns.

The service was ok, but I will look for a different company for future jobs. One of the colors we requested was wrong and what was and was not painted was inconsistent from room to room.
