CertaPro was great we kept changing our minds on what to paint and not to paint. They were super flexible and the day of the job the crew was super fast at getting the job done. We will be hiring again to paint the outside of the house.

I contracted Certa Pro Painters to paint the exterior of my home. I met with the salesperson, Tony, and pointed out what work I wanted. He specifically said that they would scrape, sand as needed, prime, and paint the eaves. Among other things, he said that his crew would fix cracks and repair missing or flaking stucco before repainting the exterior walls. I obtained a total of 6 estimates before I settled on Certa Pro and confirmed the date. They were by no means the cheapest as one estimate was almost half of their charge. I wanted to avoid this kind of experience and thought that going with a larger local company and NOT the cheapest price would mean better quality and better customer service. I WAS WRONG! Once the crew completed the initial job, I contacted the company because the work on the eaves was unacceptable, and there several other issues. They failed to sand and scrape many areas properly. They even PAINTED OVER A WASPS NEST!!! So I wonder how thoroughly they scraped the eaves before they painted. CertaPro sent the site supervisor out, and I explained the issues I was concerned about, and he said he would have a worker come to address them. The worker did some repair work, but there are many areas where the workmanship is STILL unacceptable where it appears the paint will start to peel and/or crack soon. I contacted one of the contractors that had provided me an estimate on the whole house and got an estimate on just sanding and painting the eaves as needed to obtain the proper result. He gave me an estimate. I contacted the company again and advised of the estimate and offered to pay them the amount agreed upon less the new estimate so that I could have the eaves done properly. James Seegers came out to review the work of his workers. I showed him all of the areas of concern and he told me that he saw nothing wrong with the quality of the work on the eaves or their failure to patch stucco and even paint in some areas. The fact that they used some type of filler and smeared it all over the eaves in some areas and let it dry in clumps did not appear to be a problem for him. I explained that my wife and I are extremely unhappy with the workmanship and the fact that they failed to sand the eaves prior to painting or after applying wood filler. He ultimately stated that they had done the work and that they expected to be paid in full. He says there is a note in the contract that says, Unless Specifically requested or noted in the proposal, feather sanding is not included. This means sanding the edges smooth from previous paint jobs where the paint was only scraped and not sanded leaving a cavity effect. Basically stating that the would do no more work on the eaves. I had not signed the contract or agreed to the terms in their notes. The salesman, Tony had not mentioned this at all during the estimation process. It is buried in a note in the contract that the company emailed me that I did not even sign! Beware of this company, they are not ethical in their representations and have no pride in the job their company performs.

Jason, Estimator, was very professional and personal. Did a very good job explaining all of the options & what would be covered in their services. Received a very competitive quote & scheduled my project. There were a couple pieces of misinformation that needed to be cleared up with the crew on the 1st day - however they did a great job removing an acoustic ceiling in 3 rooms & painting all of the ceilings throughout the house. Will definitely call on CertaPro again for any future paint needs

Certa Pro Yorba Linda's Dan Miller gave us a detailed, by room estimate. They were able to start and complete the project within the tight window that we established with them. Octavio was the lead painter and he gave us frequent updates as to how the job was progressing. He and his crew were always eager to show us their work, and very receptive to any comments or requests that we made. They did the few necessary touch ups with a smile. Yes, we would definitely use them again.
