Poor quality of work for a professional company that was paid a very fair market price for refinishing cabinets and trim in kitchen and dining room. I was told that the entire job would take 8-10 days. The first day the contracted painter asked if we cared if they worked late and expressed that he expected to have the job done in 5 days. I questioned this and he assured me that they worked so well as a team and that 2 of the crew would be prepping the walls and cabinets while the foreman took the cabinet doors and drawers back to their shop to prep and paint. The first day was as expected, they prepped by taping everything off in preparation for the cabinets and trim to be done first. They removed all of the drawers and doors as promised and began sanding the surfaces as they agreed upon. The next day they primed and applied the first coat of paint. When we came home from work, they were already gone for the day, so we went into the kitchen to take a quick glance. The first thing we noticed was that they had not taken the cabinet doors and drawers to the shop as they stated. Instead, they sprayed them in our dining room. They then turned on a large box fan to aid in the drying process and in doing so it blew the dust and such from the sanding process into the wet paint. I didn't mention anything because at this time I still trusted that they knew what they were doing and would ensure we were happy as promised. The next day they came back and sprayed a second coat, again in the dining room and left it to dry as they did the day before. The following day they proceeded to re-hang all of the cabinet doors and replace the drawers. When I got home they were finishing up for the day but I walked through and look at the work. The foreman told me that there were several places he wasn't happy with and that he would make sure it was right after it "cured." There were numerous bad places, drips, smears, and places that seemed to be totally missed. The worst part, however, was the fact that all of the front facing surfaces felt like fine grit sandpaper!! I told the foreman that I wasn't satisfied and that I was calling the owner, Tracy Moore, and making my concerns known in an effort to protect myself. Tracy agreed to come out and look. She noted my concerns and expressed that this was not what she expected and used about 50 post-it notes to note for the crew places that needed attention. I was told, for the second time that the crew would be back out the following day to make it all right. Ms. Moore also stated that they would be taking the doors and drawers back to the shop in order to do them right. I was skeptical but reserved hope that it would indeed be done correctly. The next day they did come back and addressed most of the issues but once again, it was half done. Instead of taking the doors and drawers back to the shop, as promised for a second time, the took them into my garage and fashioned a "shop" where they worked.

Jim did a great job, he wasted no time getting the job done and left everything as clean as he found it. No mess, no fuss totally professional job. I would recommend CertaPro to may friends and family. Professional painting at an affordable price.
