    I was disappointed in the hassle in getting a firm bid for the overall paint project. The initial painting project estimate started out around $2,000 and final cost about $3,200. During the initial walkthrough, I had pointed out the ceiling water spots in three second floor rooms. I had also pointed out that the main floor kitchen bath wall needing re-mudding attention. Neither was included initially but was and-add on costs. Also, after getting the final estimate, I found a 10% coupon on CertPro website. When I inquired about applying the 10% coupon, I was told that the 10% was already included. How could it be included when it was detailed in the estimates? I was insulted by this response! Most companies would have applied the 10% coupon. Also, I found it was odd that I was charge $200 for moving furniture. It would have been impractical for to me to move the furniture by myself. Whereas most painting companies would had moved the furniture without the additional charge. Overall, we were pleased with paint project. The upstairs bedrooms, bath and master bedroom suite and bath were painted well. The kitchen still has the old paint showing around the roof and floor broads edging. These areas were mentioned at least four times and done partially each time. After a while, my wife said to leave it alone.

    With all due respect. Mr P is gravely mistaken. The initial walkthrough there was conversation about the scope but it was not well defined by the customer. To assure clarity I defined exactly what was to be done as given to me including the price in a clear, concise, written format. After the estimate was delivered he informed my others did a specific repair in a room which I promptly took out and resent. Mr. P requested additional ceilings and skim coating while my painters were on site. He did not like the fact we would charge for this work so we reduced the amount of skim coating by half and did NOT charge for the ceiling. In my checking with him, he was pleased and not complaining so I was disappointed in his comments.
