Came to repair dishwasher. Was told it was not worth fixing, which was fine. Also, fixed a leak in the refrigerator, which he did well. There are three reasons why I scored him low. 1. The refrigerator is now making noise which did not before the repair. Jesse indicated the repair he did would not cause this noise, but it is funny that it is happening after his repair. He said in one breath our fridge is a good one and should last long and another day he said our fridge is old. I would need to pay again for him to come look at it. 2. He said he would install the new dishwasher and gave us ideas on what to buy. He asked for a $75 down payment for the installation. We ended up buying the dishwasher at Warren Scallion which offered free insulation. We did not get our $75 back. Lesson learned to not pay a down payment for something you might need. Jesse said he has always done business this way but I have never come across this way of doing business. 3. Time management is not good. Said he would be there at 5:00 but due to traffic didn't show until 6:30. He didn't mention this but if it was set up for a two hour window, I would not have chosen it so late. The second time he said he would be there at 10:00 and didn't show until 11:30. It was an exhausting and frustrating experience as a whole.
Response from Company:
The facts of this review are incorrect. We were hired to fix a leak in a 20 year old refrigerator which was completed with a 90 day warranty on the labor workmanship. A week later I got a call about a seperate issue on the refrigerator. We cannot warranty used appliances nor offer a complete service plan unless we install a new unit for upto five years. During the service call she asked me to perform a diagnostic on her dishwasher which cost $75 dollars. We generously credit the cutomer $75 towards labor or replacement provided the customer uses our service for repair or replacement. Her dishwasher was beyond repair so we then ask the customer to choose a new one from a local distributor so we can pickup, deliver, install and recycle the old. She decided to purchase a new dishwasher on her own therefore she did not take advantage of her diagnostic credit. The $75 was for time and labor on the diagnostic of her dishwasher, it was not a down payment for installation. We offered to look at her refrigerator as a courtesy call for no charge and she said she would get back to us as soon as she had time to schedule it, we have not heard back from her as of yet. We have a two hour window of arrival, we never have a hard start time not tell a customer an exact time, that usually is not realistic in this feild of work. We are very easy to deal with and will go out of our way for any customer provided they work with us and give us the opportunity, we would be happy to do as much as we can for this customer as well.

As indicated on other reviews, Jesse, the owner, explained well what he was doing and why he was doing it.The entailed installing new pipes to replace the old ones and he had to come back later to complete the job which he did well. Andre, his assistant, was amiable and very courteous. The job was just completed so I don't know,of course, of the longevity of it, but I would hire Jesse for other jobs too based on my current experience.

Please note that I have seldom had any problem with appliances. Now that I have a house filled with newer appliances, I am quickly becoming discouraged by the numerous problems with all the electronics stuff in them, The serviceman does not come with parts ready for replacement on the spot. Their plan is to examine the problem(s) and give you a quote so that you can make a decision to fix or replace. In this case, when he tried to get parts, his parts servicer did not have the parts in stock (a light bulb and another part that is known for early failure, for a GE Profile microwave). I had to wait two days after the first service call for the actual repair. This is probably current standard practice, but new to me since I previously have run appliances into the ground and just replaced them when they died after a long life. I would have liked an immediate resolution to my problem. When it fails again, I will simply go out and buy a cheap microwave. I have no problems with the actions of the repair person and will use him for more work. I am unhappy with the current longevity of appliances.
Response from Company:
One of our main objectives during a diagnosis is to inform the customer about the appliance industry and the fact that appliances built in the 70s and 80s lasted 20 to 30 years and that the new appliances built today have much more technology and delicate low voltage items including PC boards, sensors , relays , etc. so their life span 7 to 15 years depending upon how well a consumer takes care of the item and we are one of the only companies that show the customer the difference in price between replacing the item and repairing the item to make an economical decision. We offer same day/next day replacement on appliances.

he was late and not returning calls right away and not showing up on time. we are senior and on a fix income make a time and not keep it
Response from Company:
This customer must have been very confused about scheduling in the way that service is provided in this industry because she called 6 times a day everyday asking if we were on our way when we and told her we couldn't get to her till the end of the week and we would call her when we could make it. We finally were able to make room for her and she still called three to six times everyday asking where we were , we politely told her that we weren't getting there until Thursday . Thursday came and we completed her work.
