How We Got Started

I chose to work in this industry because I have personally conducted over 12,500 Home Insptections. I am also rated #14 in the Country and #2 in the state of New Jersey. I also hold Certified Master Home Inspectors status, which can only be obtained by any inspector who completes 10,000 or more Home Inspections as well as completing the proper training! In conclusion, I offer a unique service where I incorporate Thermal Imaging technology in every home inspection I perform. With the use of my thermal Imaging camera, which is a $20,000 handheld instrument, this gives me the ability to literally see through your walls to reveal concealed issues such as moisture, where their is moisture their is mold, structural issues, missing insulation which can significantly affect the heating and cooling efficiency of your home also resulting in higher energy costs. Feel free to contact me for questions pertaining to the many other benefits that goes along with the thermal imaging analysis of your home..

We started in this industry in 1998.

We describe our business as Well established

Project: Inspect a Home
Robert is super kind and accommodating. We had some issues with test results and I had to reach out to him multiple times before we got a reasonable resolution, which was very frustrating. He was very nice when we finally got the answers we were looking for, but he could have been more proactive about getting in touch with me instead of me having to call about the same thing multiple times. I would definitely recommend Robert again, as I was told that our scenario was very uncommon.

Rob is an extremely knowledgeable and personable Mold Inspector. He only ran the tests that he thought we needed and we never got the impression that he was doing anything unnecessarily just for the money. He offered to help us find a remediator if we needed one and sent us a detailed scientific lab report with the results of the tests he ran and offered to help us interpret the results. He does not leave you hanging after he leaves your house. We highly recommend him.

Project: Test for Toxic Materials & Mold
He came an hour in a half late to the home we were buying. Mold report was also given extremely late. Made excuses as to why report was late. Would not rehire and or recommend to anyone.
Response by Certified Master Home Inspector & Environmental Services: Due to a fatal accident on the Garden State Parkway, yes I was stuck in traffic that could not be avoided which resulted in me being late. What this client fails to mention, is the fact that I gave her a 185 dollar discount for her inconvenience and the report was delivered within 48 hours as promised. The only time I ever have a problem with a client is when they do not understand the scope of what we do. Because this review is so conflicting with the rest of my reviews, I am sure an intelligent person can keep things in perspective. And to the client, I am sorry you feel that way, however, and with that said, I still wish you the best of luck. I am also sorry that the gentleman who perished in the crash inconvenienced you. I am sure if he could change it, he would!

Project: Inspect a Home
Robert is extremely thorough, knowledgeable and personable. He worked around our schedule and explained in great detail every aspect of the inspection. We called him on a Sunday and came to our house the next day after we were done with work. The final report was way beyond our expectations and was a 100-page report with pictures to back up every concern he had. Robert made specific recommendations to rectify the problems in the house and let us know any questions we had in the future we could contact him. There can not be a more thorough house inspector. We couldn't be more satisfied with Robert. He was also very receptive to our needs and explaining in great detail the proper remediation for the extensive problems in the house. Robert was at our house for many hours and even returned the next day to make sure all the pictures and every aspect of the house was inspected in great detail. We received our report in just a few days!

Project: Test for Toxic Materials & Mold
In late August I was in contact with Robert Hahn regarding concerns about the possibility of mold due to a long time, recently repaired shower leak from the condo above ours. As our shower stall is 1 piece fiberglass with a separate fiberglass roof, water had been seeping in through the seam between the stall and roof when the shower upstairs was used. Scary to think of what was going on behind the fiberglass! I was put at ease with my first phoner conversation with Robert. He was very pleasant, knowledgeable and explained the procedure to me. He came out to check on the situation and while using his thermal imaging equipment to look at the studs behind the shower stall, discovered water drops on the outer roof of our shower. Another leak that we were unaware of!!! Robert made a 2nd visit, drilled a hole in the sheetrock above the the shower stall opening and used an instrument to view the location of the leak, when the owner above us was present to see it. After the leak was repaired, Robert was back again to do the mold test. We just received the test results and thankfully, we are in good shape! Money well spent for peace of mind!!! Robert is a true professional in his field, and as a Realtor I will recommend Robert to my clients that may require any of the services Robert provides. Thank you, Robert!! Sue Gjelsvik
