We had a previous appraisal done to sell our home and it didn’t sit right with us; we hired Clayton to verify if it was spot on or quite off. Clayton did a professional and accurate appraisal on our home which led to us requesting a new appraisal through the bank and now we are working on closing. He explained what parameters the bank would be looking for and how things are calculated for our own peace of mind. He was wonderful to work with, courteous, and punctual. We highly recommend Clayton to anyone looking for an appraisal for any reason.
Specially asked for a FEMA Insurance appraisal for my Mobile Home in a high flood area. Told him they only wanted to insure for $40k and that I could not replace for that, maybe more like 80. He said that I could do a lot with $80k. I explained to him all the improvements that were not obvious such as the reframing to current standards, hurricane windows and the same closed cell structural foam insulation they put in Yeti coolers giving insulation giving the structure great rigidity. He said I could not see the appraisal without paying $380 in full first. So I did. When I get it it is not an insurance appraisal, it is a sales appraisal. So I ask him to make it right for me. No response!
I am sorry to see the only negative review I have since since establishing my busineess in this area. As they say you cant please everybody. But in this case Peter I clearly said as I waled into your mobile home that my scope of work as I understood it was to value your home in regards to the FEMA 50% substantial damages rule. At some some point in our conversation you said "Just give me a regular appraisal" which I did. If you would like me to reconsider the intended user I can do so.
