When I called these guys a young man showed up to do our estimate. He was very professional and he was extremely respectful. We had previous contractors come in and install our tile but they just made a huge mess! Luckily this group came and re-did our entire master and master restroom. I am definitely recommending Cervantes Construction to my family and friends!

WARNING, DO NOT HIRE THESE GUYS FOR ANYTHING!!! They are the most unprofessional group I've ever dealt with. Not only did the job end up costing me $1000 more than they originally quoted, but the job was left incomplete. He showed up four hours late the first day without materials or tools. He purchased supplies and did not return until later that afternoon; too late to start. He had two days before he started to buy his supplies. What kind of professional does not have his own tools? It took three weeks to install insulation, drywall, texture, and paint in a 12'x24' shed. That job should have taken a week to finish everything they agreed to; it should not have taken three weeks to do less than he quoted. They quoted me with an itemized list for drywall, insulation, texture, baseboards, paint, the walls and shelves connected to the wall, and a small hole in the front door. We paid half upfront and the other half when the job was completed. He asked for an extra $500 cash for more supplies while he was in the middle of working on the shed. He left town for days and did not return. Only after I called him did he send other people to finish. They also took off for days at a time with no explanation. Keep in mind, we did not have conversations with the workers. We had not been rude or complained about anything. We only asked when the job would be finished. He then asked for the other half of the payment before completing the job. We said absolutely not because we had no guarantee he would return to finish. In the end, he did not do half of the estimate. No painted shelves, no baseboards, he did not fix the hole in the door, and did not put my lights back on the ceiling after he took them down. We paid him the rest of the money, plus he wanted an additional $500 claiming he had to buy more supplies. When we confronted him about the rest of the work, he played dumb and said he would talk to the owner and see if he would come back, but he needed the money because he had already paid out of pocket. We were so done at that point, and we did not tell him, but we were going to do the rest ourselves, but that is when we realized after he left there were no materials to finish the job. They never bought all the supplies needed, even though they claimed they did. He would not return our calls, of course. So I had to purchase the remaining supplies to finish a job we paid him to do. We paid $1000 more than estimated and still did not even get the supplies. We were charged extra, nor did we get a finished shed. Keep in mind, after the first $500, he assured me that was the final cost, and it would not cost me another dime. He lied and charged me another $500 in the end. Obviously, Angies List did not do a thorough background check. I should have requested pictures of other jobs, or at least referrals. What a disappointment and a huge rip-off! They will just change their names but ask for photos and more information before they start.
