Chaber constructions was recommended by friends who had their bathroom remodeled. There work was really impressive both in our friends project and ours. The craftmanship of the workers is superb and we could not be happier with the end results. Their work was done while limiting the mess and cleaning up at the end of each day.

We had Chaber Construction just finish remodling our Kitchen and we are very happy with Peter and his team. Pter has been very responsible and understanding with delays as a result of Covid-19. I have no complaints Wilbur and Don were the day to day crew and they were fantastic. Wilbur has a vast set of skills that he has comprised from electrical, plumbing, tiling etc and with all that and more in his tool box he is maticulous and patient. We were initially only looking to have our bathroom redone...we were taking it down to the studs and starting over. Chaber was the fourth or fifth contractor we got an estimate from. They sent over Peter who is the nicest (and possibly tallest) guy, and by the time he left we had signed the contract for the bathroom. Within the week we added to the project. We decided to have them put in a coat closet, take down some walls and put up some other walls, paint all the walls in the foyer, hallway, living room and dining room and put new moldings (baseboard, crown and around all doors and windows) throughout the house. Finally, we decided to have them rip up our old floors and install all new hardwood through the whole house. ALL the work was done in three weeks. The guys doing the work were friendly and worked hard. I was in the hospital the last week of the work, and we had no issue leaving them alone all day and having them lock up behind themselves while my husband was with me. The owner (such a nice guy) stopped by the job a couple times as did Peter. During the work, we were always able to get in touch with Peter if we needed to, but that wasn't always necessary as the head guy on the job handled almost everything. Every morning he would run through any decisions that we needed to make (pattern of tiles, location of vanity, things like that) and he was pleasant and knowledgeable. Chaber Construction is a professional, personable, trustworthy, efficient and wonderful company to work with. We have worked with three other construction companies and this was by far the best experience we have had. I have recommended them to everyone I know looking to do work, and within days of seeing the final product, my sister in law was in contract with them! Wonderful!

Chaber construction did an excellent, top quality job! We are very pleased with our new kitchen. All the work performed was top notch. The work included rip-out of the old kitchen down to the ceiling and wall studs and subfloor, expanding an opening to the dining room, replacement of baseboard heating with radiant hydronic heating, replacement and enlargement of windows with associated exterior brick-work, replacement of an exterior kitchen door, replacement of all wiring including new lines and circuit breakers, moving plumbing for sink, dishwasher and gas line for range. They installed new insulation, sheetrock, floor and back splash tiles, cabinets, appliances, lighting, and faucets. Dealing with their remodeling consultant Peter was always a pleasure. We had our own design, and material picked out, including cabinets, lights, and appliances, but that didn’t deter Peter from offering suggestions and recommendations throughout the project for further improvements, especially for the windows and door, which Chaber provided. At all times we felt that Peter cared about the project and making sure it would result in our satisfaction. Peter visited almost daily during the construction and was always prompt to return our calls which was greatly reassuring because sometimes questions need to be addressed quickly before turning into serious issues. We can’t say enough about how professional, pleasant, cheerful, and skilled the work crews were. Matchik was the lead installer for all carpentry and plumbing; an extremely bright young gentleman with impeccable manners; very resourceful. He takes his time to think and consider various options before deciding on an approach. He has great vision and demonstrated a knack for tackling complex construction and plumbing problems related to dealing with old, sometimes poor, previous construction. He never cut corners and always pointed out areas that needed correction, even when that was not part of the original plan. The electric crew led by Vitek was similarly amazing, resolving scary issues such as reaching the service panel located across the other side of the house with the new lines without disturbing the rooms in between. And we can’t forget about Paul, Chaber’s amazing painter! Over the years, we have had our share of painting done, some so-so, some top notch. We would definitely rate Paul right up there; excellent job and beautiful results! Well done Paul! We have had several previous major home remodels; not all of which we were happy with, and we were very concerned about this project. We did seek out several construction companies and got quotes from five. From the beginning, starting with the quote and meeting Peter, everything pointed to a high likelihood of success, and we were certainly not disappointed. Thank you Peter, Matchik, Vitek, Paul, Daniel Chaber, and everyone at Chaber who worked on our kitchen for providing such excellent service, and building us this beauti
