He did a great job fixing up the attic stairs that were loose and somewhat dangerous. Heâ s also going to do another job for us taking out some cabinetry in our family room. It was a good experience.

Charles came with two sons. He had injury to his left foot just a few days before I contacted him. He came with crutches and supervised his sons. All three are very polite. They turned off every light and locked the doors every day before they left, unlike my general contractor and builder who frequently left the lights on and door unlocked, even one time they left with the key in the dead bolt. I didn't tell Charles and sons to lock the doors and turned off the lights, they did it with their professional ethic. They also notified me the numerous defects done by my builder- the most important one being the leak from the spigot pipe causing water under my bed room's floor. I contacted Charles to repaint the interior and repair the ugly area of wall in prominent view which had been repaired by my builder and his worker six times and still ugly and also the painting was patchy. Charles and his sons corrected all. I am very pleased with them.

Charles + two "grown" men gave me an "estimate" for squaring one door, adding door sweeps to two different storm doors, installed 2 motion detector lights and replaced very little rotted wood.He "clumped" each job together and charged me one total which he has been stalling me. His 2 helpers did not police the area, I did, he missed a piece of rotted wood, said he would come fix it and haven't seen him since I paid him Jan 4th(its the 17th) and since he told me he charged by the job, I requested a final invoice. He keeps lying telling me he has sent it, he will send it. He took advantage of me, don't hire him.

He treated my very modest little cottage with the same degree of attention to detail and impeccable standards as if it were a mansion. He will restore your faith that there is still someone out there with pride of workmanship who genuinely cares on a personal level about pleasing his customers.

Although we didn't obtain painting services from Charles Smith, he did complete other General Contractor activities for us (installed new garbage disposal, fixed unbalanced toilet, fixed light switch), eliminating the need to have multiple service providers. Charles was able to fit us into his schedule quickly and items were fixed quickly (~1 hr). We are very pleased with the quality of service from Charles, and we would do business with him again for our property.

We were looking for a carpenter, and when Charles came out we asked him about plumbing, one thing led to another and he basically remodelled our bathroom. we are going to have him back to do more work for us.
