Find a Custom Home Builder
I could go on all day about the customer service and attention to detail we received from the owner of this company, John Verdier, with Charvold Homes. John was there every step of the way constantly letting you know where, why, and how they were doing in the construction process. I could call John at anytime of day or night with any questions that I might have and he would always answer his phone and give you all his undivided attention. You can not find the service from any other company that Charvold Homes provides. I strongly and highly recommend this company for a new custom home build.

Charvold Homes operates and planing their project really nice and professional. The quality of work is outstanding. I definitely contacting them again in the future for my home projects as well as recommendation to my friends and family.

These guys do not know how to prepare the ground for a retaining wall. After a light rain there was a rather large crack in the wall. They fixed the crack then proceeded to divert the downspout outside of retainer wall. 4 days later a larger rain caused many cracks in the wall which have not been repaired nor do I think they will repair the cracks. We will see. We showed them an example of what we wanted the front to look like but they came up with their design which I did not like and when i suggested how to keep that from happening in the future the owner of the company became very angry to the point that I would not even talk to him any longer. They try to suggest that other walls in my area have cracks in them so that is natural. However other wall have been around for 10 years not two weeks. I would not reccommend them to do any retaining walls and until the owner learns to listen to the homeowner instead of getting angry - he even told me that he is going to quit bidding small jobs because they are just not worth it with the headaches they bring. Needless to say I was insulted because he infers that my job is not worthy of his time or effort. They will never do work for me again.

"We are never happy to see a review like this and we strive not to have issues like this come up. We hope this customer will reach out to us to resolve their warranty issues they may have. However on this job we were asked not to back fill retaining wall after it was built. The homeowners opting to do this phase of the job themselves. A rain storm came prior to them backfilling the wall and caused pressure to build up on the back of the wall creating some hairline cracks. We have offered to touch up these hairline cracks after the backfill is completed. We have learned its best for us to only accept jobs where the clients want a completed turn key job."
